All Pet Owners Should Have Healthy Paws
I don’t know what I would do without my Healthy Paws insurance. I do know that I will never have a pet without it!
I have an 11 year and 8 year pair of sweet pups that I have been fortunate enough not to have to face too many medical emergencies with until this year when my 11 year old fell down some stairs and damaged both his knees resulting in two knee surgeries six months apart with a heart murmur thrown in for good measure.
Thankfully I didn't have to hesitate at the cost of care because I had my Healthy Paws policy in place. The only factors I had to consider were what the right course of action was for my pup, and what made him most comfortable and happy in this chapter of his life.
Healthy Paws also gives you peace of mind in making the claims submission process so easy, as soon as my vet emails the invoice, I just save it to my files and in a few clicks on my phone I have created a new claim, attached the invoice and off it goes. It rarely has taken more than two days for a claim to be processed and the cash is in my account two more days after that. No haggling, chasing down the money, no added stress. I literally tell every pet owner I know about Healthy Paws.
I wouldn't drive a car without insurance, I would have a home without insurance, and I wouldn't go without insurance so it only makes sense that our furry family members should have insurance too!Show lessLo35919

I cannot say enough good things about Healthy Paws. Any time I’ve taken my pup to the vet and need to submit a claim the process is SO easy!
Most recently my pup had to have abdominal surgery and that was a scary thing to go through. Knowing that I didn’t have to worry too much about the cost was a blessing and gave me peace of mind to make decisions without having to necessarily taking into consideration the cost. After the surgery, I received an email asking how Elvis was doing and to keep them in the loop on his recovery which i felt was very thoughtful.
One recommendation to streamline the process for anything major (and minor) is to ask the clinic for the medical records so you can attach them to the claim right away. If you don’t chances are you will be asked to provide them. This way you’ll cut a few days off the time line of getting reimbursed.

Healthy Paws defrauds subscribers. They say they cover things but deny claims outright and make up reasons to increase your premium as soon as you file a claim despite having the same records since enrollment. I have had 2 pets insured for over 2 years. When I signed up I submitted all necessary vet records and never had any claims. Now that my pet is sick they have not only denied the claims they should be paying out but have found reasons to increase the premiums by over 50% on both pets. The reason they said for denying the claims is that I didn't submit vet records from years and years prior to when the policy began...when I didn't even have the cat. They increased the premiums citing a dog breed discriepancy (dog is adopted so who knows what breed it is) and pet age doscrepancy (again, cat is adopted so who knows what the cat's age is). I was talking to my sister about this fraudulent company and she said the same exact thing happened to her: they subscribed for a long time and then as soon as they needed it, healthy paws said they didn't have the records required to approve the claim. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and encourage everyone they have defrauded to do the same exact thing. Horrible horrible horrible! While we never want to have to use our insurance for our furry loved ones, you can rest assured Healthy Paws insurance is easy to understand and much easier to use than human health insurance.
I purchased Healthy Paws when I first adopted my two kittens, and I’m so glad I did. At five years old, one of my boys had to undergo not one but two major surgeries in the span of 6 months (first, a string incident, and second, a torn ACL/TPLO knee reconstruction surgery). The experiences were stressful enough, and the fact that I never had to worry about battling insurance made things so much easier. I’ve come to expect nothing but transparency and on time reimbursements which I am so very grateful for.
Before I even left the vet or emergency office, my claims were submitted and within about 7-10 days the funds were deposited back into my account. Just upload the vets notes and invoices to the app and you’re done - it really is that easy. I can’t recommend Healthy Paws enough, and I sleep soundly at night knowing my boys are safe and covered in the event of an emergency. I recommend healthy paws pet insurance to everyone I meet. I have both my cat and dog covered by them, and getting coverage was one of the first things I did when I adopted them and brought me home. Monthly premiums are affordable, deductibles are at a level you choose. And having them peace of mind that when my pet is sick that money doesn’t have to be a factor in deciding the best care to get for them is priceless! I also love the reimbursement system, I don’t have to worry about which vet takes my insurance, I just pay & submit a claim and I’m reimbursed usually within the week. It’s so fast & healthy paws usually even follows up to see if my pets are feeling better. They truly care about animals! I wish people insurance worked like healthy paws! I joke and say that pet insurance is the best money I've ever spent on anything, but the truth is it's not a joke. Getting Healthy Paws Pet Insurance has been one of the best decisions I've made when it comes to the care of my dogs. With a multi-dog household Healthy Paws has allowed our family the peace of mind knowing that if and when, our dogs need medical care we can give it to them.
I believe that Heathy Paws is one of the best insurances on the market, especially for a multi-dog household. We get incredible coverage at a reasonable cost and I love their easy to use app for submitting claims. They are always fast to review and process claims and I even get the occasional email from them checking in on our dogs to see how they are doing.

I’m not one to write reviews, but Healthy Paws absolutely deserves any stars and virtual flowers I can give. This was one of the best financial decisions I could have ever made. After adopting a cat with some unexpected, seemingly chronic health problems/conditions (and honestly, bad luck), this insurance has allowed me to give him the quality of life he rightfully deserves. The app is wonderful and allows me to submit a claim the second I get the itemized receipt from the vet. Their team is incredibly responsive and most importantly, kind. I feel like they genuinely care about his health, and they’ll reach out and ask how he’s doing. I really couldn’t be happier. We have had HealthyPaws insurance for our dog Belle for over 10 years. The company is great to work with, we have never had any issues with claims being paid. I file mine using their app and they are always promptly addressed.
HealthyPaws is clearly one of the best, if not the best, companies to insure your pet’s health. They have made it possible for us to maintain a healthy dog through all the unexpected issues she has had.
I can’t imagine having to face all her medical issues without the peace of mind that having HealthyPaws insurance has brought us. I got my first cat on my own as a young adult and got insurance on a whim thinking I would never have to use it, turns out my poor boy has had many health issues and if I didn’t have this insurance I would never be able to afford the care he needs. I have never had any issues with them reimbursing what is covered under the policy and they usually process claims within a few days. They even reach out through email to genuinely check on him to see how he’s doing if they notice we have had a health scare. Healthy Paws is my “Roman Empire” and I will find any excuse to talk about/recommend them in a conversation if I know someone has a pet! When I considered getting pet insurance, I heard mixed reviews about even getting insurance at all. I got a puppy who is healthy and young. But what you may not consider is whether they will get hurt or sick. If that time comes, there’s no doubt that Healthy Paws Insurance is the right decision to make. For my family, our loved one ended up in the ICU and what Healthy Paws did for us was give us the confidence that we could continue quality medical care to help our pup get through a tough time and to heal. You can make the plan as affordable as you can by choosing the percentage of coverage and premium costs. The process to make a claim is too easy. The app allows you to upload a photo of your paid invoice with no other paperwork involved. If I could give a 10 star rating out of 5, I would.
