Excellent Pet Insurance
When we rescued our pup in April 2020, the Healthy Paws brochure was in her adoption folder. We had heard way too many horror stories from friends and families in regards to pet emergencies and bills so we figure for $50 a month it was worth the piece of mind and I have been happy we did that ever since. She has had skin issues her whole life and we take her to get monthly cytopoint injections which are always covered after we hit that deductible. Recently we had to rush our dog to the hospital and she was diagnosed with PLE which required a lot of tests and 2 nights in the hospital and a bill of $8700. We were nervous about the bill being covered and it was so reassuring when the vet at the hospital said they have seen no issues with Healthy Paws and they deal with them a lot. I submitted the claim and within days 90% was reimbursed to us. The app is super easy to use and claims are a breeze to submit. The turnaround time is super fast and the direct deposit is seamless. Seriously it’s the easiest process. I am so happy we had decided to enroll in this policy right from the start otherwise we would have been left paying a huge bill out of pocket and now a preexisting condition. We got insurance for our kitten for the first time when we got her two years ago (free kitten found as a stray), a added a policy when we got our second one this summer. Healthy paws has been such a great company to work with. Our free little kitten later developed asthma and HP has been so fantastic. They have not fought covering anything, and have always paid claims super fast. Most recently, my baby girl ended up needing emergency surgery due to a string (aka linear foreign body). I was a little worried that Healthy Paws would give us issues (this happened less than 10 days into the policy year, the emergency hospital repeated tests that my regular vet did that day) but they were great! The explanations of payment are clear, and I’ve even gotten a few messages checking on her! I have recommended insurance in general and now Healthy Paws in particular many times now!! All our pets (3 cats + 3 dogs) are covered by Healthy Paws and we are very happy with their service. Unfortunately, our dogs and cats had few very costly surgeries and we got our reimbursement very quickly every time . For us, it is very important to know our insurance is reliable so we can provide maximum support to our pets without worrying too much financially. They also keep improving themselves. Last year the mobile app was not very user friendly but it is much better now. We have recommended them to more than 5 of our friends. So thankful to have signed up for Healthy Paws as soon as I adopted our sweet chihuahua Truffle. Despite being a healthy boy overall, the few times he’s needed medical attention HP has been quick to review our claims and stay true to their coverage promises. Truffle recently had a tumor removed and HP turned around our claims within 5 days. They even sent an email within that period to check up on him and see how he was healing. I got my English Bulldog boy when he was about a month and a half old. I ended up chosing Healthy Paws for his insurance when he was about 7 months old specifically because they cover Hip Displasia if he were to eventually get it (and English Bulldogs are very prone to it) and there were a lot of other insurances i looked at that didn't cover it. My boy is now 5 years old and Healthy Paws has been nothing short of amazing. I tell everyone (especially those with english bulldogs) that Healthy Paws is the way to go. Not only do they offer great coverage but they have impressed me with how quick I receive reimbursements. My boy recently had soft palate surgery that was around $4400 after everything and i was reimbursed according to my policy 2 days later after I submitted my invoice to them. Healthy Paws has been great during my German Shepherd’s later years. The insurance has covered his biggest expenses, which means I can focus on what is best for him rather than the treatment I can afford. As his needs change, I have taken advantage of coverage for physical therapy, acupuncture, pain medication, acupuncture, surgery, and tests. The app and email are both easy ways to submit invoices for reimbursement. With direct deposit, I usually receive payment in about 4 days. I have been using Healthy Paws ever since I got my cat and dog, 3 and 4 years. It has always been such an easy experience. I just recently had a scare with my cat and had to take her to the emergency vet. As soon as I got the over $2000 invoice I submitted on healthy paws. My claim had been reviewed and reimbursement decided within 24 hours. With everything I expected to be covered. I had my reimbursement in my bank account less than a week after going to vet. The app makes it so easy to upload and review claims. Having pet insurance makes the decision in those stressful situations so much easier. Our pup has been insured for 10 years. Thankfully she hasn’t had to use the insurance much until recently. This past year she’s had some health issues that required special lab work, medication, testing and even a surgery (including an overnight stay). Healthy Paws processed the claims quickly and we were reimbursed within a few days. We are so happy to know that we can give our girl whatever care she needs without a second thought. App is Great, Insurance is Even Better
App-wise: submitting a claim is very easy and straightforward, even in a multiple pet household. This latest update made it very visually appealing now too, which is always a plus.
Healthy Paws was the best decision for me and my pet family and I will always recommend it to anyone who hears me out! Their policies are very easy to read through and understand, and the staff has always been extremely helpful whenever I had a question about coverage.

Besides the best insurance being really amazing, they made it even better with their app. It’s super easy to use, you just upload a saved file from your phone and that’s all you have to do to submit a claim, you don’t have to enter anything. After that you can clearly see all your claims in your dashboard, see the status of them, and once their approved you can see the breakdown of everything and what you will receive compensation for. It was always a good app but in the last year or so they’ve made it even better and I’ve been so extremely please with the company and the app. Thank you for making something that’s typically stressful, really easy.Show lessBleusMom10
