  • Worst app ever

    If it was possible to give zero stars I would. Company claims that this app would be fixed in “days”. It has been over two months! This app does not work (when user attempts to open it there is a glitch that closes it and puts you back to phone home page) This just goes to the fact that the Company itself does not take accountability and on top of that flat out lies to their customers. If you try to call you can wait on hold for 10 minutes to be hung up on. All while listening to an automated voice tell you how much they “appreciate your business”. How stupid do they think consumers are?

  • Nonfunctional!

    What is up with this app? For atleast a month and a half, this app doesn’t do anything. I can click on it and it will bring me to the log in screen, but past that - nothing! Will the developers be providing some sort of update?? If you can’t get it to work, remove the app altogether. There’s no use in giving people false hope with this app. The only way to get access to your Healthy Paws account is to go to the web based version. The app isn’t functional at all.

  • The app is currently junk, but the company is great

    I’ve been using Healthy Paws to insure my pets for years now. The app used to be flawless, but has been unusable for months. However, I have no issue accessing my accounts through a browser or filing claims by just sending a screenshot of my vet bill
    to their claims email address. Customer Service has been fine for me - no issues getting in touch with them. I’m sure they’ll get the app fixed soon, but I’m hanging in.

  • Excellent Coverage

    I’ve had this insurance for 9 years for my two dogs and it has been a life saver. One dog has had two knee surgeries and numerous stomach and eye issues over the years. The other dog recently needed an MRI and spinal tap. I have never had to hesitate about the expense of their care because of Healthypaws. Reimbursement has always been fast and on the one occasion I disputed a claim reimbursement it was reviewed and paid.

    To avoid disappointment and or frustration get your pet covered when they are young so you avoid preexisting conditions being excluded. Pick the highest deductible you can afford and familiarize yourself in how to submit a claim. I have found their customer service to be exceptionally kind and thoughtful.

  • Service great, app is fine when it works

    They make it easy and hassle free to get claims paid. App stopped working a few days ago but is working again now. Just take pictures of your printouts from the vet and upload. The app actually makes that easy when it works. No need to fill out the type or date or anything, they just read the photos of the paperwork and find the information on there. Payment shows up a few days later, or an email asking for additional docs if you forgot any. We’re happy.

  • Doesn’t work!

    App doesn’t work to file a claim. This is really embarrassing because I work as a tech in the vet field and I’ve been recommending them for years. I’ve now had 2 clients call me and say that they are having a hard time filing a claim and it’s embarrassing because it makes me look like I’m scamming them. I just tried to file a claim for my own dog and the app crashed while trying to take a picture. I now am aware that my clients aren’t struggling with user error and from what the previous reviews say this has been going on since November! Horrible customer service! Will not be recommending them going forward.

    For those who read this and want to switch: zoetis has a pet insurance called “pumpkin” that seems pretty legit from what I know. I don’t personally have it, but I hear GREAT things from clients who do have it. It covers exam fees and preventative care too. I would hate this app crash to prevent people from putting their pets on pet insurance and not being able to afford necessary treatment. Do your own research of course, but if this app’s unresolved glitch is a deal breaker for you there are other options out there. Nationwide has really good packages too, but I’m less knowledgeable about what they cover.

  • Trash app and horrible customer service

    For the last year I have struggled getting anything submitted in this app. It stopped opening for months and there was no update to fix it. Then when I could submit I couldn’t see the paperwork for each claim so I had no idea what claim was what. Maybe fix that and allow people to put comments in with the claim?? Because now each claim comes back with an email saying to submit a final invoice- the invoice I submitted IS the one and only invoice. Sometimes follow ups are through phone calls with the vet and if everything is ok, we don’t have a second appt. But this dumb company refuses to think that’s possible. Getting reimbursed for anything is a hassle. I am dropping this insurance and switching to another one because I’ve absolutely had it with how difficult they make everything.

  • So Far Amazing

    I have never written a review here before but feel compelled. We got a puppy in April. She had a recurring ear infection and then recently needed an overnight stay in the Er from eating part of a leather belt. The trips to the Vet for the ear infection were covered (except the office visit which was expected as that’s the policy I chose) and covered the deductible. The er visit was $2100. I received a direct deposit for over $1600 within 3 days of my claim! And putting in the claim was so easy. All you do is open the app and scan a photo of the receipt from the vet. If they have any further questions they email you. The claim is always processed between 1-3 days and I’ve had no issues getting anything covered. Today I even got a follow up email asking his my Sophie was doing after her stay in the ER! I cannot recommend this company any higher and so relieved that I chose to purchase the insurance.

  • App Accessibility

    I’ve been a Healthy Paws customer for > 1 year. I have zero complaints about the service they provide for me & my girl. My only complaint is that I have been unable to use the Healthy Paws for at least 1 year. The app crashes when I am able to open it or it won’t open at all. I checked today to see if others are having this issue but I didn’t see any similar comments to mine. Are there any plans to fix this issue with the App? Are other customers having trouble opening the App?

  • What happened to this company?

    I told everyone that had a pet to use Healthy Paws. I’m now mortified I told anyone to use this awful company. In the beginning they covered everything, rate was $35/ a month and their app was so user friendly. Now they deny most if not all of my claims, the rates are now astronomical, 109/month for a healthy 7 year old dog. We moved 1 mile and they jumped our rate up $35 more a month. The app is a nightmare and is no longer usable. It now asks when “your pet joined your family” glitches and then doesn’t work. I called and the nice person that answered the phone said not to use the app anymore only the website as the app no longer works. It’s been over a year that it hasn’t worked. What happened to this company?! It’s now like dealing with messy human healthcare. Super disappointed with you all. Will now let anyone know with a pet to run from this company, currently shopping around to find another insurance company for my girl.
