Phenomenal Insurance
I insure both of my cats with Healthy Paws and they have quite literally been life savers. Most recently one of my cats was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism after I took him in for weight loss and excessive vomiting. He didn’t tolerate the medication and so I-131 treatment was necessary. It was just under $3k for the treatment and a 10 day hospital stay, but it cost me under $300 thanks to my 90% reimbursement policy.
Every claim I have filed has been paid within a couple of days of submitting them - without hassle. It is very comforting to know I do not have to go through all the pushback so often talked about by people filing claims with other insurers - if my cat needs medical treatment he gets it, because I know (from extensive experience) that Healthy Paws will do their part. This is one of the only companies in general that I actively recommend, because they’ve been stellar - which is even more impressive when you consider they’re in an industry that doesn’t have a great reputation.
Also, the app is nice as it makes filing a claim very easy to do. I filed the claim for the I-131 treatment in the parking lot after dropping him off - couldn’t be easier!Show lessEd wordddd

I’m not someone who usually writes reviews but decided to because Healthy Paws deserves it. We got Healthy Paws soon after adopting our rescue pup. My spouse was very skeptical about the need for pet health insurance but I wanted to get it. I looked at all the different options and settled on Healthy Paws. We are both so glad we did. Unfortunately our dog developed a severe stomach issue and serious, debilitating allergies that have been quite challenging to manage. Healthy Paws has allowed us to get her the best care possible and saved us a bunch of money on medications, blood draws, ER visits, and more. We’ve had Healthy Paws Insurance for our dog for nine years, and never had to use it. Insurance, of course, is something you kind of hope you never need, but then you also wonder “was it worth it, paying into this all this time?”. Then, our dog had a series of scares and close calls, and we learned all at once how incredible it is to have the peace of mind that comes from coverage as we navigated different treatment plans with different costs. It was so powerful to be able to say yes to the best approach without having to hesitate about funds.
The app itself is incredibly easy to use, and the Healthy Paws team has been incredible. Really fast turnaround on claims, terrific assistance with securing documents from multiple veterinary providers, all around excellent.

Been using healthy paws for almost 6 years now. My dog has had all sorts of accidents, allergies and medical needs. For all of them healthy paws has covered 90% of all treatments and procesures. Even better than that is how simple it is to file claims through their app and the speed in which they pay back. We’ve had Healthy Paws pet insurance for our Rottweiler since he was a puppy.
Healthy Paws has been nothing short of awesome for our pup and family.
Our dog is now 3 years old, and he has had his share of vet visits.
It is so great knowing that my dog has awesome coverage, a quick and easy claims process, and a fantastic and fast claims payout.
Using the app is wonderful. As soon as I come home from the Vet with the paid bill in hand, I open the Healthy Paws app, take a few quick pics of the bill, submit it, and within a day or so, my claim has been processed and a reimbursement check (for a big percentage of covered services) is cut to me.
I love that there are no hassles and everything is clear and fair.
I honestly wish my health insurance company ran this smoothly and covered as much as Healthy Paws does.
I’ve recommended Healthy Paws to so many of my friends and family and now they are also so relieved to have this great pet insurance.

When my Frenchie ended up sick on Thanksgiving, I just wanted to get him care. I did not want to stress about coverage. He ended up in the hospital for two nights. The bill was over $6000. honestly the best decision you can make as a pet owner. This insurance is really good for major emergencies for your beloved furry pal. It saves you from being afraid of not having enough to pay a 2-3k vet bill when your best furry friend is in distress. I’ve been on this insurance for 6-7 years now and each time the unthinkable happens to my cat, Healthy Pet truly saves the day for me. It’s actually shockingly better than my own human health insurance! The people who work there are also super responsive and extremely nice when you are going through it. I have two working retrievers. They train hard for hunt tests and field trials. They also hunt ducks and pheasants! Bring this active and working so many terrains, well, things happen.

My pug Max is only 1 1/2 and it seems the hair in his eyes caused all sorts of issues. Ulcer's and pain. Lots of discomfort. Thanks to Healthy Paws I am able to get him the best care. We bought pet insurance for our Bernedoodle after he ate something and required surgery. We figured if it happened once it could happen again.
Thankfully he never needed surgery again. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with Lymphoma 16 months ago. With this insurance we were able to get him chemo and extend his life over a year more than simply treating with Prednisone would have done.
The claims process was extremely easy and fast. In fact, I would snap a picture of the bill while I was waiting for our dog to be brought out from treatment and the claim was filed in less than a minute. We were reimbursed directly to our bank account, so there was little paperwork.
