Simple process and fast - insurance for when you need it
I think of insurance as something to have that you hope you never have to use. After years of a healthy, happy dog (and paying our premiums), we have had a tough year with diabetes diagnosis followed by rapidly developing cataracts. Healthy Paws has made reimbursement simple (literally upload the invoice and I get a direct deposit within a couple days…) and coverage that has been very fair. Knowing upfront that exam costs aren’t covered but tests, treatments and procedures are, we have had a fantastic experience and have been relieved to not have to make difficult situation more challenging by weighing financial impact. We’ve been able to make the best choice for our pup, who just got back his eye sight. Healthy Paws even emailed us to check in on him!!! We’ve had a seamless experience and have been continually impressed with the customer service and speed.

I always have an easy time with Healthy Paws pet insurance. The claims are dealt with in a timely manner and I feel their rates are fair. Recently my 7 yr old White shepherd had surgery. Thank you, Healthy Paws. We unfortunately had a recent situation that is exactly why we started with healthy paws when we brought our puppy home 5 years ago. It has given us such peace of mind knowing we have HP Insurance in the event of an emergency, and we were extra thankful when we went to an emergency vet that ended in emergency surgery for our guy. The app is incredibly easy and user-friendly; I uploaded our receipt to a new claim using a photo on my phone and was able to easily email additional medical records for healthy paws to verify. We received quick updates and received the first reimbursement check with 9 days of submission (including 2 weekends!). In addition to the easy use of the app, we received an email from Healthy Paws checking in on our guy following his surgery, which further reinforced our appreciation for Healthy Paws!Show lessCaroline5690

I have had this pet insurance since 2018 when I adopted a dog from the local shelter. Harley became a family member, wonderful in every way and so adored. Never did I anticipate he would be diagnosed with lymphoma at age seven. We were devastated, but we were fortunate to have this coverage. They usually reimburse in 2-3 days and submitting a claim is as easy as taking a photo of the statement. Cancer treatment is very expensive and I’ve met other owners at the cancer center who don’t have it and are struggling. I have never had pet insurance before. I often had friends tell me that they always had trouble getting reimbursed for claims. However, I did have one friend that recommended Healthy Paws. I decided to give it a go and signed my dog up. I just submitted a claim. The process was extremely easy and I had an answer the next day. They approved my claim and were mailing me a check. You always hope that you never have to use your health insurance, pet insurance especially. If something happens to your pet, if they become injured or ill or something worse happens and the bills start to rack up, it becomes really too much. Healthy Paws was the most reasonable price wise to begin with so when we brought home our Maine Coon kitten in February 2021, that’s who we decided to go with. Sadly, recently, our cat had been experiencing some signs of illness that didn’t seem right. After several trips to the vet, costly medications, X-rays, a CT scan and eventually a double hip surgery. With several thousands of dollars in charges being spent, we would not have had the financial means otherwise had we not had Healthy Paws. Thankfully we are on the recovery side now and hope to remain there. And we’re so grateful. Our baby tore his CCL over the summer and needed TPLO surgery. The process was stressful but knowing we had healthy paws kept our minds at ease. Financially the surgery and recovery was a lot but we would do whatever we needed to do for our dog. After his surgery we submitted our claim to healthy paws and they covered his surgery with no questions asked and even sent a follow up email asking us how he is recovering and wishing the best for him.
