Worth It
I decided to get insurance on my rescue mini schnauzer because my last rescue had many health issues & it was very expensive. The rescue recommended Healthy Paws & I signed up. It has been such an easy process, not only do they make filing a claim easy, payments are easy. If you have any questions, they are always available to answer. When I’ve called, they’ve been professional, caring and courteous. They've sent emails checking on my baby girl when she’s had emergency.

I have had healthy paws since my dog was a puppy, and it has always given me peace of mind, while also protecting me from unexpected large costs over the years. However, in the past few months it has been a lifesaver. There have been multiple ER trips, some scary lumps, and unexpected infections, and healthy paws saved me over 3k dollars. The stress of the illnesses alone were a lot to manage, and having an easy way to submit my claims with quick turnaroudn was the best way to take one more thing off my plate. I have been with Healthy Paws since 2018, I have both my maltipoos insured. My six year old Sophie had a luxating patella and needed surgery.
Healthy Paws was there! They walked me through any missing records to submit prior to her surgery so the claim could be processed quickly.
I received an approval on my claim within 48 hrs. I’m getting thousands in coverage, it was a major surgery.

I’ve insured my two cats and dog with Healthy Paws as soon as we adopted all three. This meant they’ve been covered their entire lives. We wanted to make sure we would never be in a position to have to choose between our pet and our finances. I did a ton of research on pet insurance and HP seemed highly rated. I was afraid I’d have denied claims later in life but that’s been entirely unfounded. One of our cats was diagnosed with colon cancer earlier this year and needed immediate treatment. Her diagnostics and care was extremely expensive. A ton of tests were done, followed by emergency surgery, hospitalization, and chemo treatment that’s still ongoing. I kept track of every invoice and expected reimbursement - Healthy Paws covered everything according to the terms. Today our cat is officially cancer free now although chemo continues. Healthy Paws continues to reimburse expenses as expected. The reimbursement has exceeded the premiums we paid as I expected for something as serious as cancer. They made it hassle free and the app makes it so easy to submit claims. I just send the invoice from my email to Healthy Paws before I even leave the clinic. I’m so happy with Healthy Paws and will forever be grateful that I didn’t have to choose between busting my savings and my pet.Show lesswigu_parapraxis

Thank god for healthy paws. Our dog has required so much care (a normal healthy dog believe it or not) but always got into something, needed surgeries (ACL, blocked bowls)etc. We are so grateful we got healthy paws 4 years ago. We felt so reassured by them and they always provided reimbursements quickly with clear explanation (they've saved us 1000s) and a low deductible! It is well worth the monthly payment I will never cancel them. 10/10 recommend!Show lesscrisssmccall

I have been a customer of HP since 2014 and I cant praise them enough. Everyone I have communicated with has been so warm and friendly. The reps are so professional and have a great knowledge of the plans and procedures. I tell everyone I know with pets to get a plan with HP. The policy proces are very reasonable and I have 4 cats I am never denied and claims are processed quickly. The app is wonderful too so easy to use especially for submitting claims. SO grateful for this insurance! This year alone they’ve paid out close to 10,000 in claims for my two dogs (who happen to be very wild, and very accident prone). I will never own a dog without this insurance again.
My oldest dog had ACL surgery last Thursday. I submitted the claim and was reimbursed 4 days later. The process is incredibly simple, and fast! So thankful to be able to get my boys the care they need and not have to worry about the financial implications. I HIGHLY recommend this company.Show lesshthomhh12

They make everything hard to process claim. Lot’s of paperwork needed from vet just to get the pet registered. They are quick to collect premiums without fail.
Pets Best is a better option.

Kept hiking up rates
I have a young healthy dog and don’t reach my deductible but they keep raising my rates higher and higher. Avoid this company at all costs and the app is glitchy.KMcc97
