Invest in Boom Speakers instead
I bought the UE Blast because my experience with UE Boom was good and I wanted more bass. Wrongest assumption!
Unlike UE Boom speakers you cannot turn UE Blast speakers on or off remotely; it does not automatically connect to play music; you have to fiddle and fiddle and fiddle until it makes no sense to continue.
What is worse, different UE products do not talk to each other. So you have to download one app for blast and another for boom. Makes zero sense!
Big assumption: The UE Blast firmware probably conflicts with the UE Boom firmware ... I have both and I may be wrongShow lessAgent|3000

Got a sensible reply to my simple enquiry second time, so upped the rating. So still like app, speaker itself wonderful of course. actually didn’t know it was Logitech. They have always made great stuff in my experience.

Had a simple enquiry to Customer support via the App’s Help pages and got such a woeful response I have brought my rating down to 3/5 now. It was one of those responses where they see a word in your enquiry and then guess a common question: Then reply with the “I understand you are asking...”. That wording is always the prelude to a non or wrong answer. I think customer support is an important component of an app, and so my review score has been moderated accordingly.

Works perfectly for me, I guess some people are having bugs.
-setup was easiest of any non-apple device I’ve bought.
-the do NOT require you to sign up for an account just to use the device, like some rival companies do.
-really simple functionality in there, I can’t think what else you’d want. Set up for my existing WiFi and Alexa took about 5 seconds.
-love the simple graphic equaliser. I so much prefer this to the various sound colours other product-apps offer.Show lessRBJ001

After first setup and trying to adjust eq settings and the app crashes every time I try to change the eq. Now the speaker is stuck on an eq setting I don’t want.sr.weaver86
No party up, and constant crashes in app
It is crazy that the blast and megablast - the most premium/expensive Bluetooth speakers in the UE family - don’t have the party up mode. These speakers should all be able to talk to each other, especially given how much more the blast costs over the boom 3.
This app is unbelievably buggy on my iPhone XS, and is constantly crashing when I try to change the EQ on the speaker. The app is preventing me from what should be the most basic feature.

Alexa setup complicated and useless for me without subscriptions
Very limited app.. Alexa setup with deezer and audible is not as user friendly as expected. My first impression is I’m really not sure megablast (Alexa) is worth the extra cost and whether it will really meet my expectations with its abilities. Subscription to Spotify/Deezer is necessary for use with Alexa. But at least Deezer gives a 3 month membership, but after $17 a month. I found bass wasn’t enough either.
