Terrible
Used to love this app. I purchased several packs back in the day and used them often. Then they switched to the subscription model and I began to deal with issues where the app would say I hadn't purchased the packs. I would have to click the restore button several times to get it to work.
Finally went in today and it wouldn't restore my purchases at all. I tried taking the app off my phone and installing it again. Clicked to restore my purchases, claimed it did then brought up a sign-in screen. Just one problem--I never made an account with squarespace because when I purchased the packs there were no accounts, just my app store record, so I have no squarespace account associated with those purchases. I haven't signed up for an account because I shouldn't have to and I have gotten along just fine. Even before this I was getting the subscription service constantly shoved in my face even though I had purchased many packs.

I am CONSTANTLY losing my content. When I try to use templates to create reels, etc nothing saves! When I click the preview button I see something different than I see on the page. Text just disappointed! The cut and paste button is not working so if I try to fix this and cut out written content I cannot paste is back in, undo button doesn't work, so I just keep losing things over and over again. A simple reel is taking days to create because nothing is saving properly. The templates are fun, and this would be a really fun app to use but the constant losing of my painstaking work is infuriating. I just started a support case for this, hopefully someone is paying attention. If not, I will be switching back to Canva / looking for a different app, cause this is absolutely ridiculous! I'm paying for an app that is not saving my work and I'm constantly having to redo what I just did!Show lessCooperBoy9

You should be able to access all paid features on this app, period.
Aside from squarespace subscribers not having full access to the app & paid features,
If you were grandfathered in to this app and had already purchased templates to use, it’s hard to find them/ access them among all of the other locked templates. You have to add every single template to your favorites for easy access. I can’t understand why they can make a quick access feature for the items you own on the home page - probably because they want to make you scroll through and see everything you’re missing and entice you to pay for the plus/ pro version.
So overall, it’s a nice app, but if you are already paying squarespace for hosting, something like this should just come complimentary, and I wish it was better integrated with squarespace on the desktop too.Show lesslovinthetunes

I’ve been using this for a few years now and mostly love it. My main issue is that the photo picker module appears to use an old Apple API and displays my photos AJ’s albums totally out of order with a clunky interface. Looks like it’s from 5 years ago iOS. I’ve tried working with customer support on this but, after a lot of back and forth, they basically threw up their hands and subtly blamed me for it. Literally no other photo or video app on iOS has this Issie, and I use dozens!
So, to make the app usable I’m going through the time-consuming task of deleting the hundred old photo albums I don’t need so I can find the ones I want in this app. Insane waste of time but I suppose a testament to how much I want to use this app.Show lesslloyddoppler

I love what I get to do with this app. It’s more than just a place to have the links but it’s like a mini website for short attention span people lol Me being the analytical person that I am I would love to see more data on click through rates for individual links, I would also love to see the ability to turn off links versus deleting them and happen to re-put them up if I want to use them again. if you’re looking for a new app to house your links or just look more cleaner this is definitely the way to go.

For paid app the fact that images uploaded via Mac don’t show up as available images to put into reel or story which is pretty much the worst kind of oversight. Not everyone uses iCloud. Come on! At premium price for Unfold + it could be great App but 20 mins in got this issue and don’t need to copy over to an album 15 GB of photos It would be amazing if unfold (like Canva inspiration) could be resized for different layouts, then you could integrate those landscape versions in the Squarespace website ecosystem. That being said, why is this not a free add on for Squarespace clients ($600 a year isn’t enough?!?) or why not at least integrate and make available the exports in Squarespace into the acct easily. But again, the landscape layout (sometimes we have landscape with border to keep it clean. And more options cause Unfold + is waste of money really!Show lessThunder Muscle Fan

I have used Squarespace for several years and was so happy to add the “link in profile” feature as well as the Unfold app. It has some nice options for templates, but the scheduling/planner portion is not as user friendly for me- probably need to explore more. The reason I gave it only three stars is that it doesn’t sync with my website, instead you have to pull in all the branding colors and logos, which to me is a serious chore as I don’t want to flip back and forth typing in the color numbers, looking for old photos that I uploaded a year or more ago. I would give five stars if this app synced, but really not much different than something like Canva. I’m hoping that writing this review will prompt Squarespace to make the use of the apps for owners of a Squarespace website cohesive. Thanks for reading!Show lessnettles73

I love this app for quickly putting together a series of photos from an event that I can share, I don’t post much to instagram as posts, nor stories, but I DO PRINT A LOT OF MINI BOOKS - I wish someone would embrace the post/story size so I could just print directly from my PDF, but I end up exporting everything as a JPG and importing into another app to center it on the right size pages for whatever book I am wanting to print.

Unfold is pretty easy to use. Never had an issue when exporting photos or anything really. I know now a days apps have this yearly subscription called Unfold+. They have that here but I don’t do that. You do have to make some purchases to get that unique template. I love that! It isn’t pricey either. Ranging from $1-$3, I wanna say. So instead of making a yearly subscription on all templates even when I don’t use them all is a waste for me. Instead of a yearly subscription I get to pick out which template suits me. Better for me!!
Though, to make this app better! I would like Unfold to make video editing happen. Have the same idea options of having to purchase templates that would better suit every individual instead of having a yearly subscription. We would have different templates, transitions, reels and timing. It would be so useful to me! Instead of having to use three video editing apps have it in one app. It’s a new thing that I see happen on every social media. I see it on Instagram reels or tiktok videos. Also for influencers using it for endorsements. I know they recently made the animation template in Unfold. Beautiful!! But only for those who have Unfold+. But that’s my reasoning for 4 stars. I love this app but I know y’all can do better upgrades and soon we will see better upgrades. Thank you :)Show lessselenaesco
