  • Absolute Mess of an app

    So every time I try to login (same with sign up) in the app it just crashes immediately, then I have to re connect the camera. Please fix this ASAP
  • Works as expected

    This app works as expected. It’s annoying how it does not connect your phone to the dash cam automatically. You have to go into your settings and connect to the dash and WiFi when you want to see the live feed. However the performance is good. The dash cam camera is a bit slow but that is better I guess. To capture any kind of collision in slow motion. If you guys can figure out an update to automatically connect the dash cam your smart phone it would be greatly appreciated. The dash cam I bought is a F800 and it works very well with this app. It has it quirks and bugs but it takes a while to warm up to it.

    Hello There, We do not offer the Auto-Connection with WiFi as when connected the device stops recording until the WiFi has been disconnected.   • Using with F800 Pro

    Recently had installed the F800 Pro front and rear. The quality is amazing from the cams and the app provides reasonable control over the basic set up functions. However the Thinkware cloud feature seems to be non existent. The Geo Fence aspect constantly tells me that no registered cams are detected! I have registered the cam on the website. I think the app needs a little work to be more intuitive. Please fix geo fence feature.

  • A bag of dicks

    Needs to fix the disconnects when scrolling through the video playlist. If scrolled too fast the app disconnects. Please address as I’m sure this can easily be remediated.

    UPDATE!
    The new firmware is much faster with less crashes. Added a star since I can now go back 2 full days of motion sensor footage without having the app crash. It did crash one time though so I don’t think we’re 100% yet.

    Newest app update crashes more. Dropping a star.

    UPDATE 3/31
    App now not usable for viewing motion detection sorted videos. When you click on a video the app crashes. Reducing my 3 star review to a 1 Star. Thinkware keeps making this thing worse with every update.

  • Nice App

    The app is nice but it has some broadband quality issues. For example, when connecting to the DASH CAM Thinkware F800 PRO and viewing an Image. Most of the time the image is blotchy or unrecognizable. Further, the application has difficulty staying connected to the DASH CAM.

    Once you’re able to download the image to your phone (iPhone) in my case. The image views perfectly.

  • Just so that it is clear

    The WiFi connection that they keep pushing. Is a WiFi that the camera creates, so that your phone can connect to it. While you are in the vehicle. It doesn’t mean that you can watch those live videos as stated from the comfort of your living room. You have to be in vehicle. Or you could just look out the windshield window. ... lol. Useless cloud.

    Updated: Better. But still a little sticky. I don't know if is the app. Or the camera. But the saved setting don't always stay saved.
    And the pro is out. Where is the firmware update?

    Original 2*s: First. For the users having issues setting up the hotspot. Once you get to to phones hotspot setup. If is on turn it off and back on. Camera will take like 30 seconds to connect. The light will go from blinking blue to solid blue. The phone might not show the banner right away. But if the light is solid. It should be connected.
    App crashes constantly on an iPhone 6.
    Scrolling through the list of videos has to be done slowly or.. crash.
    For the amount of money they charge for this cam. It shouldn't feel like I got it 10 years ago. Get with it.

  • Fix playback

    The app only allows to play one video per connection. Then I have to close the app entirely and reopen it. Otherwise it just keeps loading and then reverts back to the main menu. Very annoying to review videos.

    IPhone 6s Plus.

    Update: it works only if you turn off cell data and use it through WiFi. But only for a few minutes.

  • App makes camera into junk

    The camera is good when it works, the app is terrible. The app only connects with your camera in airplane mode so you have to turn airplane mode on and manually connect to your camera every time you want to view a video. Also, your record settings will randomly get reset and won’t record in parking mode when you need it the most. Buy a different camera with a decent app or a camera with no app at all.

  • Buggy firmware / software makes product user unfriendly

    Latest version of your app with F800 and latest firmware, still get “an error occurred. Try again” when exporting a downloaded video. Did not have this with the F750. Same problem prior to your updates to this app 1 week ago. Quality of this software / firmware has been slow to market.

    I will re-rate when applicable.

    I Will update review once CLOUD is enable. Camera should be able to stay connected to a network at all times. Including parking mode. As of now all features are disable once parking mode activates. Useless if something happens to the car in parking mode since there is not a way for the camera to send a notification due to not network connection. Camera will disconnect from app every time it goes into parking mode. What’s the point on the cloud if this happens? Please update and make so that it is always connected to Internet via hotspot even in parking mode. Last request is for the app to be able to connect to the camera via proxy or cloud when the camera is connected via hotspot or home WiFi/router/car internet. If the camera is connected on my portable internet. I am unable to connect to the camera with my phone due to the camera being connected to that internet connection. Therefore I can’t use cloud features even when the camera is on and connected to the internet from my car. Besides that, the app works great and connects perfectly to my iPhone X. 4 stars until cloud features are enable.
