  • Horrible Experience. Don’t rent from anyone who uses this

    This app is so unintuitive, clumsy and annoying, despite an elegant interface. Support is unresponsive. The support chat is with a lousy AI bot. When you do get a response, it will probably go to junk mail (never a good sign). I rather cancel my reservation than continue to use this app.

  • Completely unreliable app and provider

    This app does not function, just like their customer service. Beware, not a good service provider.
  • Avoid if possible

    The company motto is “Book an apartment, be treated like a hotel guest”. Laughable. Corporate VRBOs are bad enough in general but this is devoid of humanity. Ridiculous to have to download an app to deal with the rental. And “we typically respond in 2-3 minutes “???? I’ve been waiting 30 so far.
  • Unacceptable reliability

    Staying in an apartment where the guests are required to use this app to open and close the door. Worked for two days, then stopped working. As a guest you have to use this app to lock and unlock your apartment…this should be completely reliable. It is not.
  • Unreliable

    I would avoid booking a rental that uses this app.

    At first I thought the digital key was a plus (wouldn’t have to coordinate with them in event of late transport, etc). Digital key has been unreliable. Just spent 10+minutes on hold with support because the key was offline; they didn’t resolve it but another resident let us in the building. The app seems to have good information on the appliances in the apartment but they don’t all match. The app says that “the host” usually responds to chat messages within a few minutes, but my experience is it is closer to 24 hours. Not to mention what another reviewer mentioned: it requires using data on my international plan, making the stay not at all cost effective.

    This app is not a good replacement for a key or a real person. In the future, I will not book a place that requires this app.
  • I hate this

    I very much don’t like that in order to access the Airbnb you need to download their company’s app. To add insult to injury, the app is janky and doesn’t work well on mobile; it won’t recognize messages from the host as read, which then prevents you from seeing a quarter of the UI of the main page, from which you need to access the digital keys to your Airbnb.

    How annoying to add extra need for wifi/data to your vacation, especially when it doesn’t work well!
