Annoying

Downloaded this app to see what’s new after not using it for 3-4 years. The first thing I see is a log in sign up / screen with no option to skip. Instant delete.

Response from developer

We are complete awake and work towards an awesome app with more instruments and tracks. Kind regards Hanna

Great for veterans and newbies

Whether you’re well acquainted with Propellerhead’s Reason or never used any DAW or even a phone synth or drum machine or whatever; this is a powerful app that is great for laying down ideas before they slip out of your head.

It’s a simple 3 module set up, drum sequencer, synthesizer sequencer and bass synth sequencer but the possibilities are endless! It’s of quality samples in the free version and you can seamlessly export it as a file or straight to Ableton or any other app.

It’s dope. As an audio engineer and musician I love it. It’s pretty sturdy and only froze like once sometimes the audio drops out but I have an older iPhone so it’s 100% awesome. GET IT NOW. you’re missing out if you don’t have this tool.

App doesn't work, logs in to black screen..

Just downloaded this today and as the title says...

The fact that there are reviews complaining about this that are already over a year old is absolutely frightening. Maybe it's time to cancel Reason+ if this is how they care about their software. 👎

Buggy

Wont even log in even though all details are correct. Screen just goes black with no status feedback. Deleted the App and reloaded but no change. Tried a different device but same issue. Gave up!

Awesome beginnings

Great tool, very customizable. I enjoy it quite a lot. My only gripe is the synths are limited. if I try to play a lead over a riff on the same synth, (which allows for a much fuller and dynamic sound with bass, riff, and lead as opposed to bass and lead) the lead notes are played but the riff underneath is literally silent, or if I play a powerchord on the baseline the root gets ignored. I like the simplicity, but I feel like there is a lot more to build upon here. Perhaps optional complete in depth control over the synth sound for us more experienced homies. Maybe a separate lead option. I like the simple ness of it because those who don’t have the know how and experience, but accessibility options to control these things would be great also, and I would consider buying the sound packs, assuming I could demo them first. Also, being able to export the tracks through midi and/or garage band would be cool too. Haven’t tried it yet, but shredding over and epic synth riff sounds pretty cool to me.

Bad

I spent $30 to just be able to use the synth, bass, and drums. Then $10 on some sound packs. Nothing fun, new, interesting, or mind blowing to see here. Just a money grab from Reason. I love the computer programs but the app is embarrassing.
I bought this on day of release and have used it a handful of times. NO UPDATES in two years on a $30 app? I call shenanigans. If you’re not going to update the app, at least release the sound packs for free to the people who have paid full price for this app. I was already burnt on native instruments app and I have hundreds of audio apps that I don’t mind paying decent money for but when money grabs come around like this, it makes me very angry and it also makes me not want to support companies that helped to change the face of electronic music (in the software realm not hardware). I would pass on this one and buy Abeleton’s Note. It is a third of the price and is way deeper than this. Wasted $40 on a boring and uninspiring app. Reason you can do better.

Kind of bummed

When the app was released I bought a few synth kits and the 9.99 synth editor. Thought it was fun as I have not used Reason on my computer in some time and like the sounds and ease of use. Then I opened it up a month or two later to see that a bass and a drum kit were added. I was happy until I realized that I had to pay another 10 bucks each to edit them. Kind of a bummer. I am NOT cheap as I own at least 95 audio apps and have paid a pretty penny for some (plus I have been beta testing apps for over ten years as well). This app is not worth 30 bucks plus having to pay for all of the sounds. For 30 bucks there should be a plethora of kits. I get adding in apps for kits but the kits are pretty sparse. Also, no mixer is extremely limiting. I guess the only saving grace is that it isn’t a subscription model. I just can’t see myself putting any more money into this app. Plus they never update it. I would suggest Abelton Note. It is so much deeper and cheaper..

Just….why?

So we’re supposed to pay like $30 to unlock all 3 three instruments…..and get a whole 3 tracks to work with….and not even be able to actually record more than 1 sequence….no way to arrange different sections into a song. I own Reason 12 and get that you can export to the desktop….but this just isn’t worth the effort. And where’s the bread and butter sounds…like piano….strings…. etc. This effort seems lazy at beast. Come on…put some more effort into this app already. Stop being lazy.

It’s not too late to fix this

All this app needs to be revitalized is AUv3 support.
Update the app to be available for use as an AUv3 Instrument in other DAWs like GarageBand & Cubasis and it will be well worth the money & relevancy. The Europa Synth is great, & I purchased the sound packs years ago, I’d like to use them in my current projects and have full compositional control. Don’t let these libraries and the effort that’s gone into this app go to waste. It could be a great tool.
