Fantastic

Great way to stay motivated!!!

Awesome App!

We had 3 teams in our office and challenged 3 other teams in our sister office from afar. It brought out the competitive side of many, sometimes pushing us to find an excuse to walk instead of work! App was easy to use and the customer service support was amazing - quick to respond and extremely helpful. Teams created group chats and often strategize late in to the evening, trying to deceive their competition. Having some slower walkers taken over by zombies motivated them to chase the rest of us, at times causing team panic.
Can’t wait to try another “Step Ahead” walking adventure.

Very engaging

Our office looked forward to the mornings where we had to compete against each other for top spot on the leader board. Will use again!

I’m so addicted to this zombie competitive fun!!

I participated in my first two challenges through work. Everyone may think “getting steps is easy or boring” but the competitive play aspect, the creative additions of fighting through obstacles and the running from hordes of zombies that The Outbreak Challenge provides makes getting some fitness in your life FUN! I’ve made new friends and strategized w team members, set goals, met goals, and enjoyed the heck out of this app!! When the challenges ended at work I missed it so much I started my own Outbreak Challenge getting neighbors, family, and even our kids 11 and up involved! Everyone LOVED it and we are planning to do another! I love watching all the participant stats and seeing who is breezing by me or who needs an extra “you can do it!” on the comment board. I think this app is incredibly worth it, well done, and comes w very responsive support for any game questions. Best app I’ve added to my phone in 5 years... it’s absolutely worth checking out.

Our group can’t get enough!

I have a group of friends playing Outbreak together. We’re currently on our third Outbreak challenge. It is impossible to communicate how motivating this game is, so I’ll tell you about my results instead. When we first started, I was getting around 3,000 steps a day. Now an “off” day for me is 12k steps, and I typically bet between 18k and 22k steps. In the past two months I’ve also been able to lose about 5% of my body weight. The app is not always as quick to sync up with Fitbits as my team would like, but it does eventually work. Also, when we’ve had questions, customer service has been helpful. I definitelt recommend this app and the challenge itself.

Great team building!

Our staff participated in 2 challenges over the summer. We had a few try the free trial and they were hooked. Their excitement encouraged 35 to sign up. We will do this again!

Can’t get the punch points

There are two forms of points: steps and these punchy points (fist icon). The steps work fine but punchy points are super rare for those of us using a phone instead of a fitness bracelet. So you can get blocked by hoards of zombies and have no way to get past. It won’t count your steps until you get past.

Great for Team-Building

Our company purchased a year subscription and, while a bit pricey for an SMB, it was money well spent. We had some trouble getting participation beyond 30% company-wise after the first challenge, but those that joined the first challenge and second challenge mostly participated throughout the year of challenges and mini challenges.

It was really fun for that core team of participants and the FIX support team was great about sending over resources to boost participation. They even provide you will marketing collateral to distribute and tell you when to send out what to maximize awareness and participation. If our participation was better and we weren’t in the middle of a pandemic, we would definitely renew.

Not only was it great for employee engagement at our company, but it inspired some really amazing lifestyle changes for several individuals in our company and reinforced existing healthy habits for others.

Got me moving!

Shame to see so many people rating this poorly because they’re unhappy that their colleagues are cheaters... that’s not the developers’ fault.

Personally, I had a lot of fun with this! Definitely got me thinking more about moving, especially after work when I’d see that we have another couple thousand steps to meet our team goal for the day. Liked the step bank that lets you roll over steps you accumulate until you “spend” them, but wish there was a clearer way to keep track of what steps were synced from what day.

Overall really great experience. When it ended I felt like something was “missing” in my day. Hope my company does this again soon!

Worked for 5 days, then....

This worked perfectly fine for 5 days. It synced my steps and my team was advancing with my help. On day 6 it worked for about 3 hours then logged me out for some reason. I tried logging back in but now it doesn’t recognize my password. Tried many, many times with slightly different passwords then tried using the “forgot password” link. It recognized my email, so I know I’m in the system (I hope) however it’s been 8 hours and at least 12 times of clicking that link and I have not received the email to reset my password. I’ve also emailed support 3 times and no response. I suppose their IT and their password support only works 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday. :-(
