My trainer highly recommended this product. The easiest setup. Great device. Elegant, succinct UI.
And extraordinary support...
Yesterday, I'd used it for the first time. Leg day with a serious cold - feeling awful. Frustrated that I couldn't find the summary in the app. Wrote to support in a regrettable tone - not nasty but I was an absolute jerk. Support responded helpfully. I replied admitting my horrible tone asking them to forgive me, and they were so understanding. They spoke to me on a human level after the awful way I spoke to them. Feeling grateful for the product and the team.

Great!
I’ve used various training apps/devices over the years. I heard about this from an interview Peter Attia had with Joel, its founder. I was skeptical but they have a 30 MBG, so gave it a try. This is, by far, the most accurate app/device combination I’ve used, to date. It truly dials in my training ability each morning, and adjusts after each workout. In just three weeks my Z-2 wattage has increased by 15%. Funny thing is, Z-2 HR can change depending on recovery. Following its recommendation on what that HR should be, is key to improved performance in the three modes of Recovery, Conditioning, and Overload. Highly recommend!

A lot of bugs
Sleep time does not important correctly from Apple Health.
The last update wiped out most of the past 30 days data… otherwise I love the product. The app quality needs attention though

Latest version doesn’t read sleep data!
The latest update for this app seems to have broken the sleep data collection from Apple health. Repeatedly reported the issue to the developer and kept getting a tone deaf response claiming it’s working fine “no exceptions”. That basically removes 25% of the app functionality. Fix it already!
Defacto the future of fitness training 5*
Joel Jamieson has created the perfect tool for careful matching of your training loads and recovery. Stimulation <> Development <> Rebound. You should be planning for 6x week training sessions; stimulation not annihilation! As of July 2024, the M7 chest strap is on back order. Despite this, my Polar H10 seamlessly works on this App but I cannot yet use the Heart Rate Variability morning testing. As a Chartered Physiotherapist advising patients at all levels of fitness, this is a game changer. 5* from me.

Excellent app
Great app, but could do with a few refinements to make it perfect: 1. Let me take my HRV measurement first immediately after waking, then let me add my subjective score afterwards so I can get up and walk around so I can see how I feel. 2. Automatically connect my HRM once it has been paired. 3. Input workouts from stava / wahoo / garmin. 4. Let me export my workouts to Stava. 4. Add some more subjective scores so I can see correlations like HRV4Training offers.

Iffy at best
I wear this every workout, charge it regularly for the life of me why doesn’t it register and calculate properly?! Weekly I have to find my workouts and sync this again. I understand it’s a small tool to show progress, but never really know if it’s accurate or not. Currently it shows zero progress for the week, weird.

This app, the HR monitor, combined with customer service is second to none!
I’m only two weeks in but noticing a change already in how my body feels.
There’s a facebook group to gain extra knowledge and learn from others which helps tremendously!

Basics ok but buggy
I use with M7 to measure hrv and adjust hr zones daily. Gets the job done in a clunky fashion.
Why clunky?
Not on the "measure recovery side". That has worked fine each time for me. However, syncing workouts doesn't work nearly as well. I'm syncing directly from the M7 to the app and half the time it doesn't find the strap when syncing so I must back out and re-enter sync. Then even after that another half of that subset of times it won't find the workout and I must back out and re-enter. Finally, because there is no setting to disable, ever time I sync it first redirects me to a third party wearable account to login. Quite annoying.

Wahoo not working
It found my device but wouldn’t let me use it. Not really interested in buying new measurement device to try this out
