Even works with Walmarts hyper tough ht500

. Got the Walmart Bluetooth ht500 for free as a gift and it comes with a free app that works great with cars newer then 2001 but for the live feed only shows throttle position…
Anyways this app works better than the oem app for the device and I don’t even think it has an elm chip in it . I can see almost every sensor in my car that is able to communicate with the computer. There’s a lot of things on that app settings that you can mess with to get better results (probably adjust the queries it sends and the feedback it receives ) but best to leave it alone if you dont understand what your doing .
It might be just me but i don’t like developers being pushy with the way I want to leave a review because either way I’m going to leave it how I want.. but I understand any bad reviews and low rating will dramatically change the overall traffic the app gets from the App Store …. Who ever leaves a bad review probably doesn’t know how to use a really good app meant for really committed car guys..

Excellent App
Bought the app for engine fault codes but it does WAAAAY more than that. Diagnose faults before they become big and expensive problems! I have an older vehicle and monitoring how it’s behaving is key to ensuring it doesn’t become too expensive to run because of high garage bills!
This app could be ten times the price and it would still be brilliant value for money.

Great app! And consistent updates
Have been using the app for 3-4 years now. They keep updating and adding features which is great. And now it has a car play support where we can see the info on car infotainment display.
Amazing money and headache saver
Modern cars, covered in sensors, throw up so many error codes that worry the driver with the dreaded engine management light. Sometimes these codes are useful in diagnosing genuine faults but often dirt, moisture, low battery, ‘gremlins’, etc. can trigger them spuriously.
I use this app to read what the codes mean and, if there are no actual symptoms, clear them. On my current car, well serviced and running like new, they often never come back. It just seems very prone to false readings. Occasionally they allow for pre-emptive action, which save money on bigger issues down the line.

Hands down the best OBD car app I have seen for iPhone, for the price, but mostly the amounts of functionality. This app has every single little detail, including coding that’s available for your car. I just need to buy a better dongle it will be better for me again. Seriously don’t look elsewhere. This app has it all.

If you are looking for an obd app then look no further. I have several different obd units and have tried most on the App Store. Recently I needed to be able to monitor the atf fluid temp in my 2010 mini cooper s(BMW ECU) and none of the obd tools I had would display it, not even BimmerLink would. I had downloaded the app about a year ago but never upgraded to the paid version. When the situation came up that I needed to monitor the live temp of the atf and nothing I had would do it, i decided to give it a shot. The lifetime subscription is $6.99 which is ridiculously cheap and makes this hands down the best deal for a scanner. I was really impressed with all the features it has and how well it works after I upgraded. If you have been looking for an obd app that will do everything you need it to without annoying and expensive subscriptions, this is it.

Not working
It’s not able to connect to my Vinfast VF8 plus. Using a veepeak adapter and it simply won’t connect. Maybe you need to create a specific connection profile for Vinfast
