  • iPad update please

I love the app you have really done a great job. Please bring back the horizontal function for the iPad. I use my iPad with a keyboard and the app used to work perfectly in this mode. Not anymore. Please bring back this great feature.
  • Iphone optimized!

Pretty good for what it is! Definitely optimizes octoprint for the iPhone. My only ask would be to either also plug in to the users custom button settings as well, or let them create extra buttons for terminal commands (not gcode). I'm finding that I have to still use my site to turn on and off the LCD I programmed.

    Developer Response

Hi, Thanks for your feedback! These are both features I’m working on for the next major release ;). I’ll have a sneak peek up soon at octoclient.com/blog
  • Makes Octoprint that much better!

This app just makes the whole Octoprint experience that much easier, fluid, and simple. Can't say enough about how well it works and how much better than using a web browser it is.
  • Essential

An essential tool for printing. I use it around the house and via VPN to keep track of my print progress. The developer is friendly and responsive. Recent updates have made it even better! Get the paid upgrade and support this project.
  • Great when it works

The app is great when it will connect to the octo server. I have a couple of different prints hooked up with the app and when you get a connection it works well but you can only get a connection to octo like 50% of the time. If they could fix the connection issues and maybe make it easier to swap between printers attached it would be worth the money.
  • 4/5 due to lack of control

Maybe I’m missing something, but I can’t seem to control the temps on the app. Would be a 5 if I could.

Other than that, I love it! I check it during nighttime prints and it’s saved my arse already.
  • Awesome!!

UPDATE: Instant upgrade to Pro for me. Literally downloaded and bought the upgrade. Thanks for the awesome app and responsiveness.

Awesome lightweight OctoPrint Client! Would like to see the filenames in the file browser scroll for the excessively long named ones I have. An emergency stop too.
  • Can't wait to see what's next!

I love this app is it's the best one out there for OctoPrint! With that said I would love to see some added features to make it more useful:

    - Full screen webcam
    - Multiple Addresses (i.e. internal vs external or multiple printers)
    - Port settings (https / http / custom port) right now with a custom port is has some issues of webcam jumping and it thinking it's not printing and then printing about every half second..
    - App rotation
    - Notifications (this may be more difficult)

I also see an issue with the webcam trying to reconnect sometimes and it looks like a buffering issue where it jumps all over the place. Itd be nice if it would just dump the buffer and reconnect..

This is definitely something I would pay for a premium version of :)
  • Okay at best

I am used to running octopi through my computer or iPhones web browser. First, I love the UI of the OctoClient and easy to navigate controls. However, there is a significant delay in OctoClients communication. The controls are delayed and the video is unwatchable. I’m sure in time this will be a great app but for now, I will stick to the web browser.
  • Really great. Missing a bit to be awesome.

I truly love this app. It does what it says

I use it when I need to level my bed, prepare the bed and if I see a print going wrong.

A couple of features would take this to the next level:
    1) pausing a print. This would be great because it would let you change filament.
    2) preset leveling locations. Send a string of commands to place the head at the right locations for leveling.
    3) faster response. Right now there’s a lag between pressing a button and the head moving
    4) full screen webcam
