Great Uber Alternative
For foreigners, this is probably the best alternative. This is the only app that I’ve found to be reliable and debit/credit card friendly in Managua.Angryramen
Great way to get around Managua!
Great customer service and a safe and convenient way to get around Managua. I’ve used it multiple times and have no complaints with the drivers; however, I am giving 4 stars due to the following ways I think the app can improve:
1. Please make the app warn that there is a limit of C$1,000 Córdobas when the payment is card (otherwise it gets rejected **until** the ride is completed, which is very inconvenient when not carrying enough cash).
2. A feature to explicitly specify how many passengers are riding would prevent having to deal with last minute warnings through WhatsApp, as there is an apparent limit of 4 people per ride. However, when exceeding the limit, it is required to order two cars, which I was only able to workaround by scheduling ahead more than one or by messaging customer service through WhatsApp. While I appreciate the quick customer support through WhatsApp, the purpose of the app is to conveniently do that for you.
3. Editing the route or comments is basically not possible. At least once I had to cancel and re-order a trip due to a change, which is unfair to the driver who was originally assigned.
4. While I am unaware of how is this app developed, whether it is natively for iOS or Android or through frameworks, I did notice I significant lag on internet connection. There were times I had 3 bars, and somehow struggle to even open the app due to the apparent strong connection it requires. I am not sure how you are sending such data through the wire, but there’s always room for improvement when it comes to the approach you’re taking to solve a problem in software–i.e., are you sending just what you need? Or is it a bloated payload through the network that’s not letting me even open the app in certain connection settings?

There is no security for the passenger, they do not give security to the passenger from cheeky drivers, the SOS number does not work.Alexamtzz1

Be careful of this app !
I used this app to go from Managua to popoyo, the original estimation was 1’300 Córdobas ( 35$) and then as the taxi was coming they called me to tell me I needed to pay extra for a 4x4 car because of the state of the road, new estimation 3’500 ( 97$) and I agreed just for them to send a Toyota Yaris which is a tiny car and not 4x4 yet I still agreed because the driver was confident and nice. The app sent us into all sorts of different directions for 4 hours and then when we finally got 1 hour away from popoyo there was a river the taxi didn’t want to cross so he left us there and charged me 6’000 córdobas (170$USD)!! 6 times the original price agreed upon and half way to my destination, the driver was not at fault here it was the app.Show lessDaniel Scullion

Hace unos días descargué la aplicación de la cuál 8 veces que he solicitado el servicio, solo 3 han sido buenos. En mi experiencia, la mayoría de los conductores tienen falta de profesionalismo, Ray debería de capacitarlos mejor porque se supone que estamos pagando un servicio superior a los taxis particulares.

Well, let me tell you this. I know your service is starting but it has been around long enough to have a better app. Adding multiple destinations or changing it would be great. Also to let your company know when I use Ray I tip Cash because you guys take a percentage from the drivers tip which is not good. They are doing all the work for a little amount and you know this. Hopefully the app improves and we make sure the driver gets their money that would be great.Show lesssanfranx415
