Finally made an app

I learned about the snowflake method and found the PC software years ago. I use other apps/software but this method works for my ADHD. So I’m glad its finally in the App Store. Its simple, organized and can export into any format to be published. It’s a perfect simple app for writing, if you use this method.

$14.99 for what is basically a blank word processor program I really want a refund

I thought this program was going to have some features to help me write my novel. It's only feature I'd that it orders the chapters and scenes in the right order for you. Other programs do that for free. And it's suspicious to me that the only reviews available are for at least three or more years ago --what's that about in short, don't waste your money! And some of the reviews it says the cost is $4.99, but it's $14.99.

It’s back!!

Excellent story app..

I want my $4.99 back

Downloaded this today based on an article recommendation. Even if it was free, I wouldn’t use it.

Desktop version for me

I only use the desktop version for my book and I figured the phone version would aid me in momentary inspiration, however this phone version is horrid. I pass on using it.

Can be tricky.

You have to create a new project and port in the info if your file is from 5 or less to get a 7 file to use with this app and it’s not as easy as a save file as. Also Dropbox doesn’t like to delete the lock file well which causes problems with going from app to computer. OneDrive compatibility would be nice as an option.

Not very intuitive

I had used the desktop version for years and loved it, it was easy to use, intuitive and worked like a dream....this version for iPad I can’t even figure out how to beginning writing anything other than a description. The joy of yWriter desktop version was the ease of use. I wrote a whole book using the desktop version. This iPad version....I am gonna have to stick with using Pages because I just cannot figure yWriter out.

Simple and Functional.

Personally, as someone who writes a lot on the go and enjoys the efficient design and features of the desktop app, I get my money’s worth of the iOS version. Sure, its design and extra features are limited in comparison to the desktop version, but if you like being able to use the main features (scene+chapter creation, characters and other story elements, notes, and outlines and such) and alternating between your phone and the computer, then you shouldn’t be too bothered by the difference. I’ve already used it more than I’ve used the computer version, but I’m an avid phone writer.

PROS:
- Functional.
- Keeps main features from desktop version.
- Transferable between phone and computer.
- Simple and straightforward (albeit somewhat undefined) layout, keeps your work the focus.

CONS:
- Crashes occasionally, so save your work often. This is IMPORTANT.
- Not as extensive and customizable as the desktop version.
- Due to the limited space in design, some of the aspects of the user-interface are not immediately clear until you test things out. It just takes getting used to, and I’m not entirely used to it yet. (I’ve used the app maybe 10 times total.)

Overall, if you use the desktop app and want to be able to use it on the go, but don’t care so much about user interface or extra features, then this app is for you.

I Have never seen a worse app, IOS DOES NOT WORK

This is the misleading and deletes your work. Further, it does not work in the manner indicated. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Must have for writers

I am using the desktop version since a couple of years now and haven't found anything close that's organising my writing better! and now having that synced to my phone so I can look something up wherever I am and scribble a new draft or edit a page is exactly what I was missing!
Worth the money.
