I’ve had an RCA doorbell cam for the last 3-4 years, and like the rest of you, it’s was kind of useless because the app is not been updated for years. I downloaded the Guarding Vision app and it is a great replacement for this POS. You need your QR code, and then log in with your existing username and password. The app crashes in any new device, you can’t use a new phone or a new tablet, only works on the low quality and slow speeds, attempting to contact the developer at the emails provided and they never respond, I attempt to call the number on the box and it was never answerChilango rey puma 3020

UPDATE NEEDED

Unless you like frustration and apps that don’t work then skip this device. It’s a shame really because the hardware worked and was very good. The camera was clear even in the dark but the software controlled the functionality and the software was literally non existent. I’ve had this device for 6 years and the software was always flaky. Now, it simply refuses to work. When you try to launch the app it just spins and closes. Even when it kind of worked it was just annoying because you had to keep redoing things you had already done numerous times. Save yourself the headache and just don’t.Show lessRoseepoo
Alternative App
Here is an alternative to the RCA Security app as it appears to no longer be supported.
Go to your App Store and download the "Guarding Vision" App
Log in to the app using your username and password last used on RCA Security
You will be logged in with your camera(s) in place but no access
Select the Camera and input the Verification Code ( Note: Verification code is on the Camera around the QR code)Show lessarrdvarrk
No updates ! But good news ! use different app !
My rca cams dont work since ios 17 now you can use Guardian Vision app in the app store ,works great and can be used on mac book air ! Follow real easy instructions .F”@&in
Problem resolved finally!!! Cams are working!!!
Go to App Store and get Guardian Vision app and follow instructions was real easy to do then delete RCA Security app.Really happy with the results!Terrible
