  • Can’t plug in the guitar

I expected to be able to plug in the guitar and play the notes there, but instead I have to tap on the screen :(

Sorry whalrslap, I have thought about ways to do this. Maybe in the future though! Thank you for your feedback.
  • This changes everything!

Wow! Finally. In 30 mins I fluently know all the notes on the first 3 frets. This is so good!!
  • Helps learn the fretboard

I picked up my bass after not playing for 15 years and needed to refamiliarize myself with the fretboard. This was a great trainer. I also started reading music and this app is a great help
  • Almost great! Double answers though...

I’m using the paid guitar version and absolutely love this app but have run into a frustrating issue: doing the ‘name chord’ game having the root revealed makes it way too easy, but having the root hidden makes the game tell me some answers are wrong when they’re not. If including chords where there could be more than one root, such as aug, dim7 or sus2/sus4 the app sometimes offers more than one correct answer but punishes me for choosing the ‘wrong’ one, e.g. it shows me G, C, D, which could be a Gsus4 or a Csus2, but the answers include include both, and only Gsus4 is correct because it decided the root (which I can’t see) was the G. Can you please fix this by making sure the answers only ever show one correct answer? I appreciate the app may have one dedicated root even if you don’t want it shown, so I think the fix would be to make a list of ‘don’t show these together’ and include any matches in that list. Hope that makes sense, it’s a great app otherwise!

P.S. I’m a guitar teacher and a great feature to add would be to specify the notes in ‘name note’ to fit within a scale, so not just all sharps and flats between frets 0 and 4, but just G major, so only F# and naturals for others. If we could include multiple scales it could add them in any order, but probably listing in circle of 5ths would make sense (so naturals, then add F# or Bb, then C# or Eb, etc.)

Hey Guitarqadhi, I did not think of this issue and will see what I can do. These are all great ideas. If you think of any others you can always e-mail me at contact@strongapplications.com. Thank you for your support!
  • Good.

The accidentals on the staff game are in white, making them very hard to see. Other than that, decent app.
  • The strings are in the wrong place

I was using the Ukulele Baritone which the strings are D G B E and if you look at your instrument the D sting is close to your head and the E string is closest to the floor. In the App this is reversed. This needs to be changed or it going to confuse people when they hold their Ukulele to play. I was impressed that it did have the Baritone D G B E chose because most only show the Tenner or concert string layout of G C E A only.

  • Great app

What a great app. Learning the notes on the fingerboard has always been difficult for me. With this app, I can be sitting on a bus, an airplane, or anywhere and be able to memorize the locations of notes on the fingerboard as well as on the staff. You are able to focus on a particular range, say the 7 to 10 frets, and drill just on the area where you need improvement.

  • Great. One feature request

Really great tool and has paid off immediately. One feature request - would like to be able to have the option to access sharps and flats at the same during the game. Thx!
  • It is not working anymore

I have been harsh on my first review probably because I could not use it at all. But the problem was fixed pretty fast and now I am an happy user!

Hey Overdriven56, I just released version 3.1.1 that should have fixed the crashes that were introduced to some people in version 3.1.0. Please try updating and see if that works for you, and thank you for your support!
  • Very Helpful

Better than I expected. I’m using it for Guitar and it has exactly what I need to learn the fretboard in a fun and entertaining way.
More than just the notes, the scales and chords are extremely helpful.

The way this program is configured makes everything easy to understand and very user friendly. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to memorize the fretboard and learn scales and also chords.
