  • Incredible!!!

This app is so fantastic! This is exactly what I was looking for! A gamified and super visual way to master the fretboard, and it had loads of hidden surprises in the form of other games - eg. Matching staff notes to the fret board, identifying triads, an INCREDIBLY comprehensive list of scales (I think there’s over 50) to explore in all keys, instantly visualised on the fretboard... Fantastic! I’m so excited!

Just to be clear, I paid to unlock the guitar fully as soon as I bought the app (only £1.99), so these are full features. It blows my mind that you can do this in multiple instruments too!

Thank you Mr. Developer for such an incredible app! It’s beautiful :’)

Thank you! Your review means a lot and I'm glad you're enjoying the app.
  • Ideal addition to guitar position playing

I am learning to play finger positions up and down the fretboard. This app is a perfect addition to my regular guitar exercises. When not playing the guitar, I use the app to reinforce what I learned. It also has a feature to learn reading notes on the staff, and, since I play Left handed guitar, the app lets you change the fretboard for lefties. Awesome.

  • Useful Tool

The App Store is flooded with apps like this but this one is one of the best. Top marks for allowing to change to 4ths tuning and having a smooth interface that work well on my iPad and iPhone.

Feature request: Would love to have an interval identification game. Will pay again for this feature.
  • Great app!

Just started using it since 2 days to learn the guitar notes on the fretboard

    Its helping me a lot
    Thanks guys
  • Just started using it

So far so good. It would be neat if I could call out the notes using the microphone rather than a keypad

Hey TTC, this is actually a good idea and I will consider it for future features. Really appreciate your support and feedback!
  • Good app

This is one of the best apps use to help learn notes. I would like it if you could turn off specific notes and maybe even disable statistics
  • Decent, but needs work on displays

    Updated review:
The app was fixed so my major complaint about the staff & fretboard game being useless is no longer an issue.

The display on the scale explorer still is very hard to see the fret numbers.

I would now recommend this for folks who want to learn the fretboard.

    Old review:

I was hoping to use this to learn the ukulele fret board, but it is disappointing.

The staff and fretboard game only cares that you hit the correct note name on the fret - even if the note on the staff is an octave above, the game will count it correct if you just hit any note on the fret with the same name. So, I can’t really use it to learn to find the fingering on the fretboard that corresponds to the musical staff.

The fretboard does show some numbers of frets, but they are often hidden by other images, so it’s hard to actually see the fret numbers - even though there is plenty of screen real estate above or below the fretboard.

Perhaps the app works better for other instruments.

Hey NightTriker, I fixed the octaves for Ukulele. Please update your app to the latest version. Also, the octave does matter in the game. Thank you for your support!
  • Beautifully designed app for learning your instrument’s fretboard

Love this app, from the way it looks to the way it sounds and the way it teaches. Learning the fretboard is no longer a chore!

The only issue I’ve encountered is that the “Login with Facebook” button doesn’t work, but it’s not that big of a deal.
  • A good app with needed improvements

The idea of this app is great, but I have one pretty big problem with it. When I use the fretboard and staff mode with bass, the notes on the staff are written an octave too high. If you fix this I will change my review to 5 stars, just please address this major issue. I started playing bass a few weeks ago, and I need to learn standard notation by the next school year to play bass in jazz band. Please fix this issue, and the app will be a great tool.

  • Fun way to learn the fret board.

This is a great way to learn the fret board and the notes on the strings. I just wish you could have the option to have all the Natural, Sharps and Flats notes together, instead of doing them separately.

Hey DJMichael, thank you for the input. I will consider adding that! Glad you're enjoying the app though.
