  • Best game ever!!!

    Ok this game is sooo good. I highly recommend this app. In my opinion this app is so worth 4.99 it is really fun. I’ve had this game for a while now and I’m wanting to play this game even more. This app is amazing. Thank you so much directive Games Limited. Hope to see more AR games.
  • Phenomenal

    You folks deserve all the positive press in the world. This has been the first game in utter years that’s made my jaw drop. You’ve taken new technology and truly harnessed it to leapfrog into a new world of gaming. Augmented Reality has a future and you’ve single handedly proven it with this game.

    The additions of a tutorial and map scaling are great. Being able to have a huge map makes things really interesting!

  • Great game if it wouldn’t crash!

    The game itself is really cool and innovative, but the experience is ruined by the game crashing 30 seconds into each battle! I haven’t even been able to complete a single battle! Please fix crashing on iPad Pro 10.5 inch! Will rate it higher when fixed.

    Hi Tiamat247. We are aware that some players are having experiencing a crash during the battle. We thought we had fixed this issue with code changes that we implemented in version 1.2.0. But unfortunately it seems that few players are still affected. We are testing a new fix and we should be able to roll out soon.   • Has some issues

    The game is awesome when it works, I’ve found I have to walk around the room at times following the board. Needs fixing then will get 5*

    Hi! Thanks for your feedback, we really appreciated. We are sorry that you are having some issues with the anchoring of the battlefield to a surface. Here are some suggestions that will make tracking more precise: - surface: if the surface is too smooth, uniformed, reflective and lacks contrast, then tracking may be negatively affected. A completely white table for example may result in less precise tracking - in this case we suggest to put a notebook or another object on the surface to add some contrast - lighting: ARKit relies on camera to provide a precise tracking. An environment that is well-lit is best. Dim-lighting may have a negative impact on tracking - alignment process: when you first detect a surface plane, please try to move your phone slightly. It will help with a more precise tracking Lastly, please note that ARKit relies on both camera as well as the phone accelerometer to provide tracking. Because of the very active nature of gameplay, it happens that the camera is lifted from the surface initially used during the detection process. During those moments, tracking relies uniquely on the device accelerometer and as a result jittering or shifting of the battlefield may happen. If it does, please avoid trying to follow the map (we know it is natural to do so). Instead, please just re-position the device camera towards the surface/table. Within 3-5 seconds the battlefield will anchor back to the initial point. We hope the above suggestions can help. If they don't please reach out to us directly at support@directivegames.com.   • Great Game. Minor issue

    After updating Thursday, the single player button is non responsive on my iPhone 7 and my iPad Pro. The game was working perfectly until I updated, I thought the problem may be my devices until I gave it two days without opening the app and afterwards single player is still non responsive. Multiplayer works fine, and I give it 4 stars because besides the single player problem The Machines is a beautiful and fun gaming experience.

Did you try to restart your device? We understand this sounds like a very obvious suggestion and you probably tried, but sometimes it has helped with responsiveness issues.     Hey the reason why I gave this game 4 stars was because of the tutorial now you have fixed this problem Correct? Also graphics are over and beyond for this game I’ll see if the tutorial is fixed and if it works I’ll get you guys 5 star rating giving you guys that 5 star rating I promise
  • Device syncing not working.

    This game only gets better with every update. I’m am so glad that the developers are listening to the reviews. However, I cannot seem to get the game to sync between my iPad and iPhone.

    Really nice to see the dev team so active on improvements.
    Crashes resolved. New tutorial added along with game centre saves (thank you) plus the game just looks fantastic.

    Hi Rymanmax, thanks for elaborating further on your previous comments. Yes, currently in the menus you can only select tutorial. In the next version, which should be released in a couple of days, there will be new functions available including (spoiler alert!) the possibility to increase or decrease the size of the map. This is a feature that many players had requested. The update will be packed with improvements and we suggest you to download it as soon as it comes out.
