  • Good but has a big flaw

So far, I’m really liking the app for keeping my pattern inventory which is the main reason I bought it. I already have a separate app for keeping track of my floss.

My major complaint is that we have no ability to enter a designer that isn’t in the pre-populated list. Very frustrating to be prevented from adding them. I get the idea that you want to make it easy but we should be able to manually enter some that you don’t have listed.

This could be much more user friendly with the following improvements: I should be able to enter a number when I add a DMC floss to my inventory. So that if I have two or three of the same color I don’t have to go to and different screen to add them.

The inventory and shopping list should interact. I should be able to add something to my shopping cart from the inventory list. Alternatively, I should be able to add something to my inventory by clicking somewhere on my shopping list once I buy the item.

These user friendly improvements would make me feel much better about paying for the app. Without these, I would be better off with an Excel spreadsheet.

  • Mixed feelings

I liked the old app but thought I would try the new one. My only complaint is that I like my inventory to be organized by designer not chart name and I can’t figure out how to change the setting. Other then that the app is good.
  • Awesome!

This app is really helpful and easy to use. I’m so organized now I can hardly stand it. I recently purchased the subscription app and really don’t see any additions except for the beads. I liked the option to search with the alphabet on the side. Also, since I’m all Apple I can’t add photos.
  • Great app!

I haven’t used this app for very long but I can say that after 4 days of the trial period I decided I should subscribe. It’s been a great investment so far.
Pros: Info is very easy to add. Lots of info already included so flosses, etc. are easy to inventory - basically the pick of a button. It syncs between my devices (easier to add on my iPad but only have my phone if I’m out shopping). I can track my projects from wishlist to purchasing to kitting to completion. I can keep track of extra linens.
Cons: This app lacks the ability to add inventory that doesn’t fit their categories. For instance, I have designs from old magazines I’d like to add accurately but can’t because I don’t know the designer or the designer isn’t one they have listed. The designer name is required but there is no “unknown” option or the ability to add an unlisted name (“custom”?). I’ve added that inventory under a random designer that I’ve selected.
The same is true of the floss inventories. They have TONS of lines listed but I just bought floss from a new line and can’t add that as it isn’t one of their options and there isn’t the option to add a “custom” line.
It could use a “Notes” section for random information so that all my cross-stitch info is all in one place then.
Based on what I see in the app so far it wouldn’t surprise me to see those options added - especially at a subscription price of $9.99/year.

  • The best app for needleworkers

While took me a few days to enter and record my entire thread stash in this app, it has been so worth it. With just a click or two I can now instantly see if I have a particular thread at home before I purchase another one unnecessarily. What a money saver. I am now working on my project stash and will eventually record my ground cloths. It is far and away the best $10 I believe I have ever spent, and it has paid for itself over and over. Thank you to whoever came up with this site. I encourage all my needle worker friends to try it. Jeanne’yi

  • Excellent stitching tools and ledger

Brilliant design. All colors are preloaded, all you have to do is check the ones you need or the ones you already have. Everything you need to calculate your piece. Enjoy!
  • Great for tracking inventory

I am in my trial week of this app. I greatly appreciate the multiple thread companies and types, so I can inventory both the pearl cotton I use for needlepoint and cross stitch fibers. Yay!

On the downside, there are NO instructions! I figured out it seems I have to save a thread to my inventory before adding it to the shopping list, but then doing so is easy, and can click multiple times or edit for quantities.

Please add the ability to type in your own designer name for charts. Some of my charts are PDFs, so I have to figure out how to include those images.

But the really big functionality that I am surprised is missing is the ability to click on an inventory item (thread, linen) and add it to a journal entry. Now all info to a journal entry has to be typed in. Or, I guess I can take a photo of the palette and upload that. I do most of my own designs, rather than buying charts.

  • Still waiting

How long does it take for payment to go through? I paid the subscription price & received the confirmation from Apple, yet you continue to say I need to subscribe & I cannot get into the app. I had the regular XStitch app but it expired without me even knowing.
  • Great app but needs improvements for cost

I really like the app overall. I love having a photo or two of my projects as I may have given the finished ones away. I also like have the photos for my wish list.
However for $9.99 a year I hope some more features are added. I would like a few more fields in the description of the design such as stitch count, and notes on finishing. I would also like to link the floss needed for project directly from the project. If that is possible now please let me know how to do that.

I hope the designer continues to incorporate changes and updates.
