Challenging
I think this is so worth the money. My only issues is that many of the mini games don’t have enough directions or none at all!!
Too hard to read
All the pieces of paper are in a dark setting, along with a difficult font, makes it so hard to read. There’s something about this game that just isn’t pulling me in. Don’t think I will play past the trial. Sad, I usually like Eipix games
Nice game
Interesting storyline, complimentary atmosphere, lovely graphics, smooth gameplay and a good map. Lots of varied puzzles of mixed difficulty and a few super puzzles (always a bonus). Not too many HOS and if you miss any collectibles you can replay scenes in the extras to find them.
Only 4 stars as I did find the graphics a little too dark in places (especially in the HOS) and had to crank up the brightness on my iPad also the ending was very abrupt and didn't make any sense but otherwise an enjoyable game.
Oh, and I did think that the references to "Dire Grove", Fate's "Carnival" & "Ravenhearst" at the end on the main game were a little thoughtless considering I, and many others, have paid for these games and they are no longer available on the App Store!😪

Great Addition to the series, but not as good as some others
This is my absolute favorite hidden object series. I actually like the adventure, story, and puzzles more than finding hidden objects. I love puzzles, and the puzzles in this series are the best. I am deducing a star because, even though I played (and always do) on the hardest level, I thought the puzzles were easier than usual and the game seemed shorter as well. I will continue to buy and play subsequent releases, but hopefully the puzzles will be more creative and challenging next time around. Also, I don’t understand why Big Fish is no longer selling the backlog of this series on the App Store. Sad only a handful of games are available.
PS- I read a couple of other reviews, and they said there were too many puzzles and they were too hard. There are hundreds of HO games to choose from that are easier to play. Stick to those and let me have this series as is!!!

Bummer Game
This game may appeal to some gamers but I thought it was a total bust. I really disliked it and quit in the middle, something I don’t often do. It gave me a headache, running around a dark dreary set solving mindless puzzles with no direction. I’m glad
I got this on sale cuz it was a big waste of money. The story was fuzzy and unclear and in the end I didn’t care what happened. Besides money, don’t waste your time.

Just OK
I couldn’t really get into this one so I stopped playing. I should have played the first part for free and then I wouldn’t have bought it - but I downloaded the entire game because it was on sale. Too dark and the story was hard to follow - not at all intuitive. I don’t often get one that I don’t like tho - love these type of games.

Could be better
The game itself is good. BUT I have say I am very upset about the developer who decided that custom settings are his/her choice not the user. If one wants no hints etc. One should be able to set it like it. I happen to like a hint here and there but I should not be forced by a developer to still wait over a minute to get the darn thing. That is why custom settings are there to allow the player the flexibility to play the way they want.
Will not buy another game by this developer that is for sure.

Excellent game but some of the puzzles didn’t make any sense, had to skip a few 🙁. Loved the storyline and the past games brought up at the end was good. Enjoyed it.🌟👍

The Black Veil
I gave this game 5 stars due to its incredible detail and imagination. For my liking there were too many puzzles and many were too difficult. About a third less puzzles would have been about right. Despite that, I’m still giving the 5 stars as it’s so well done and for those who like hard puzzles, it’s perfect. It was also long so real value for money. Keep these coming but with fewer puzzles please.

I think I missed something
Okay, so I completed the game. Nothing too challenging. But the ending didn’t make any sense?! I couldn’t work out what the evil person was actually trying to achieve. So now I a m just confused
