Good material in manageable chunks

Been doing the aws certified solutions architect- associate and found it to be very knowledgeable. Broken into chunks ranging from 5-20 minutes, which allows easy viewing opportunities. I did go with the membership for the extra exam simulator which I have only peeked at, but I am also interested in other courses, overall I would recommend.

Stopped working

My app stopped working after iOS upgrade to 12.2, please fix it.

Lowered rating due to intrusive notifications

Just because you are clever enough to come up with a custom notification sound for you app doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. Having your phone say “Hello Cloud Gurus” out of the blue (to announce a new podcast, for instance) is irritating, especially when you are in a meeting or conversation. Beeps, boops, dings, etc are normal and accepted by others. Having your conversation interrupted by speaking isn’t.

Yes, notifications can be turned off, and now they are.

Content great, mobile app can use some work

Love the content acloudguru offers, but mobile app can use some improvements. It would be awesome if you could add a search feature on the mobile app instead of simply browse. It makes it really hard to find specific content or courses on mobile device. Sometimes I need to hop around and educate myself on specific topics quickly. While it’s nice the mobile app shows you featured content or content you guys think might be applicable, a search function would make it even more usable!

Being able to search would definitely improve the usability of the app. The search function is actually a feature we are actively working to implement. Great learning content, lacking user experience (UX)

First of all, I believe A Cloud Guru offers some pretty awesome courses, with great instructors. The learning platform is great.

However, the mobile app needs some TLC as far as UX goes.

Search:
I couldn’t find a search feature in the app. Feels like I have to browse through lots of content.

Course continuation:
When I go to a course to continue where I left off, I have to scroll down to the video I need, which could be way down the list as I progress through a course; there should be a way to easily continue where I left off. The dashboard offers this kind of feature, but only for the last viewed content (makes sense here).

Submitting Feedback:
Another big issue I have with the app is that I could not use the “send feedback” feature in the settings section. I kept tapping and tapping with no response from the UI other that a highlight of the cell when I tap. How do users send feedback?

I would have rather left feedback in the app vice writing a review in the App Store.

Easy to stay up to date & learn on the go

The A Cloud Guru mobile app makes it incredibly easy both to stay up to date on current cloud trends as well as to keep learning while on the go, whether while walking my dog or walking to work, or just waiting in a waiting room. I use it almost every day – it’s great!

Great App, Excellent MOOCs!

A Cloud Guru is incredible.
I split my training between them and one other reputable cloud and Linux based training and MOOC site.
These guys are very informative and very personable. Their explain like I’m 5 approach is educational without being offensive when you’re way older than five but still need talked down to in a very non-condescending fatherly way.
They’re great. Excellent. Brilliant instructors.
Don’t let your dreams be dreams. Join premium, take all the courses, take all the certification exams, make all the money. Just do it.

Best Study Material for Cloud Certification

The title says it all for me. The videos are great, links to relevant forum/online content, they cover the three big public providers in-depth, and provide weekly updates on what the big cloud players are doing in the market. Content is updated regularly to adjust for certification exams and new services coming online. The annual cost is MORE than worth it to keep your cloud knowledge current and relevant.

The only recommendation I could provide to improve the service is to work on the mobile app a little more. I’ve had it not function as expected at times; such as deleting my downloaded videos with no notification, requiring network logins while I’m offline, and not updating the website with my progression through course content. I have seen improvements over the last year and is kore stable than originally, so the five star stands as long as they are working to improve service delivery.

We agree on improving the mobile app. In fact, we have a team of developers solely working on improving the mobile app experience! It's a big push for us right now and appreciate you sticking with us while we improve. We try to put out updates constantly so keep an eye out for those updates. As far as needing to login while offline, usually this means the cache was cleared by either manually doing it, logging out, or force closing the app. Be sure to be logged in prior to going offline and it should work!
