Cool Product; Bad Interface

I really like the bonds - it’s an easy way to regularly save money, and the customer support is very friendly if you have questions. Cashing out is quick and painless too. The problem is the app. There isn’t one. It just opens your preferred internet browser and then you are at a web page. It’s clunky and there is no Face ID. They told me months ago an actual app was coming, but here we are. The kids at the high school down the street learn to create an app in 10th grade. It makes no sense that Worthy still doesn’t have an actual app. 5 stars for the product and customer service; 0 stars for the non-existent app.

Don’t give them a penny. This is a scam!

I was an early investor of the first round of bonds. I thought they were great, until they started having liquidity issues. Now my funds have been locked up for a year with no communication from the company aside from an email on August 22, 2022 stating they were halting withdrawals of the first set of bonds. At this point, I don’t think I’m getting any of my money.

It is unbelievable that they are allowed to advertise that you can withdraw at any time, when that is very clearly a lie. The first round of bonds have clear liquidity problems, and I suspect that later rounds will struggle as well.

Ponzi Scheme, run away don’t walk!

Where do I begin, I have been a loyal Worthy investor for over three years, given them my hard earned money to earn a supposed 5% return (on paper) which I was told was securely backed by “tangible hard assets” from supporting local small businesses. I have paid taxes every single year (the past 3 years worthy has had my funds) for the supposed “5% interest” my bonds were accruing while being loaned out to small businesses. Originally they said bonds could be redeemed at anytime, now though, they have locked all withdrawals and are not paying back the funds that were given to them and they are in complete breach of contract.

So, not only have I lost money on paying taxes every year (on fake earnings they said I received), I do not have access to these funds anymore and they are not paying back my original principal.

This is a scam, do not invest your money with them. They should be criminally charged for this Ponzi scheme they are running.

STEALING FROM CUSTOMERS

Worthy Bonds is holding my s/o’s money and will not release it because they screwed up and loaned it to a ton of small businesses that failed. Now they’re claiming they can’t give her the $10,000 she invested because they don’t have it right as we are trying to buy our first house. DO NOT USE WORTHY BONDS. There’s a brilliant review down on this page from 2 years ago addressing all of the concerns that individual had regarding this company and everything he stated in his post came true.

Easy to use, easy to understand and paying!

I don’t understand any of these negative ratings. The app is easy to navigate, there’s $75million of new bonds available to purchase since late 2022 and I’m still purchasing new bonds as of this review I’m early 2023. The earned interest is clearly posted on my account, WEEKLY! Recommending friends and family to sign up earns free shares for everyone involved too, essentially paying us to use this moderately well paying account that allows my money to sit and grow at a MUCH MUCH higher rate than a bank pays. It’s almost like a savings account on steroids. No fees or charges either. It’s almost like the negative reviews are either fake or done by people that “forgot” the fine print that specifically mentions in the beginning that withdrawals take weeks and will have to be done so in accordance with cash balances and anti-laundering regulations, which take time. This isn’t a piggy bank account that can be accessed instantly like a bank. It’s one of the conditions for that generous interest rate it pays us! Don’t be a Karen or a Kevin, you were happy to get that 5% but seem to forget you have to plan ahead for withdrawals. My only concerns are that we don’t get to see who is borrowing our money and arbitration is mandatory should there be any issues and there’s occasionally app log in issues. That’s it. It’s a great investment vehicle that is easy to start with a measly $10 and pays weekly and easy to navigate with a clear understanding of how much you earn weekly. Very underrated platform. I’m surprised it’s not more popular.

Can’t log in

Can’t use app because the login never works, just keeps saying “there’s a problem” even after multiple updates.

Can’t withdraw funds

They paused withdrawals on 8/22. I find it strange no one else here is complaining. Their first bonds offered defaulted, its highly likely this is a huge loss. How did they get approved for more bonds?

Absolute worst app

I never write reviews, but this app is very aggravating. I’ve never had a more difficult time trying to create an account. The app is basically a link to the website, and you’re prompted to “close” the windows, which you cannot do because it’s an app… So frustrating. I can’t get to the point of linking any accounts because every time I close the app (the only way to close the window), it brings me back to the “create a sign-in” page. Cannot report on the actual company since I can’t give them any money. You’d think it would be more user friendly after 3 years of reviews to fix the app.

app won’t even open anymore

i’ve had my worthy account going on three years now, i think. their app was always trash (basically just a website that clicking the app icon would bring you to) but now it’s just a blank white screen that does literally nothing. the premise behind the idea is great. every-day humans come together to help each other - just like it should be. the execution of this… not so much. i don’t care that they’re not large companies - that’s the whole point. the risk is worth helping our communities. the lack of transparency about the companies, on the other hand….. no. i’ve checked back every couple months for the last year and each time i’ve logged in and try to buy more bonds, i’m met with a page that says they’ve “just sold out of all bonds” but that more are coming and i’d be among the first to find out. well….? the money i originally invested in Worthy Bonds is officially worth less now than the day i put it in. honestly? i think this is a marketing ploy to dupe people into using the service to invest while not actually offering anything at all (including support, an app, or an intuitive website).

Why is This so Difficult for Worthy?

So I am starting to have SIGNIFICANT concerns about this app.

First, it has been over a year since new bonds were offered. All we get is “we’ll add some soon” or “the SEC should be approving us any day now” but nothing EVER happens. Can you please be straight with your customers, this lack of transparency is absolutely ridiculous at this point.

Second, we get this ability to buy property bonds, except we don’t. There is no option to purchase these bonds anywhere in the app. This feature would have at least given your customers SOMETHING to do beyond watching confetti drop after reading…bad news? Why the announcement of property bonds when we can’t even buy them? You should have stuck to the radio silence, at least then we would not have gotten our hopes up.

Third, this pivot into what can only be described as some kind of betterment lifestyle brand where we’re all worthy is way over the top, like WAY over the top. We get it already, you’re trying to make the world a better place by, well, we aren’t quite sure how. Posting motivational pictures on social media I guess? By getting people to sign up for an app that they can’t do anything with maybe? You know what I am worthy of? Buying the bonds I signed up with your company to buy!

Finally, the developers of this app have been promising to update it forever. Another in the list of unfulfilled promises from this company, this app continues, to this day, to force you to log in each time you want to use it. Not with Face ID, or even Touch ID (as was promised when that was still used), no, by typing in your credentials each time.

I am worthy…of getting answers. We all are!
