  • App isn’t good for a security device

    3rd time now having to delete and re download the app from being unable to view my videos in the cloud. The page would come up with retry and a section to buy plan then wouldn’t recognise the login. Was instructed by help to log out and log back in but there in no option for that so all you can do is delete an re install

  • Had enough

    On the 18th may my Uniden Solo stopped recording. Many many emails later, sent it back (still under warranty)
    It’s now back. Still not working! I need security for my farm and this very expensive camera has been a nightmare disappointment. After sales waste of time, asking for a refund or replacement, don’t even bother. I am so disappointed. They did nothing at the service department, just advised me it was working, it’s NOT. Shop around, just don’t go with this brand.

  • Lost access to the cloud

    I can no longer access the cloud the app sends me in a loop when trying to navigate and only has a white screen when trying to bind account. Can’t update profile picture as it says failed all in all the app is not great. I can get in and see the camera though but not overly happy with the product and app

  • Poor

    Impossible to bind cameras to cloud. They are also advertised as weatherproof. We’ve had to replace camera, solar panel and multiple batteries due to not being weatherproof. Investing in this ecosystem has cost us a fortune and we’re still going backwards. Best to avoid. Oh and support is non existent.

  • Rubbish

    It is useless at picking up movement.
    We bought three and all of them are rubbish.
    Our front camera is pointed just 5m from the front gate at a 2.2m height and even with the highest settings it still does not pick up people entering through the gate. When you go to playback, all you see is an open gate. This is the same for all three.
    Someone stole the number plates from our van outside the gate and all it recorded was him exiting from the frame, this after he arrived, squatted and removed the plates both front and back.

  • Landscape mode

    Picture quality of my Uniden Solo is very good, however the app requires a refresh upgrade. For a large security company, I Don’t think Uniden has thought this through comparing functions Listwith its competitors.

    1). The landscape mode does NOT work, though it did when first installed. Switched off/on camera and phone to no avail. Image stays in portrait mode;

    2). unable to soft rewind video from viewing screen arrow. Must terminate & rerun video;

    3). There’s no picture summary thumbnails of history events to summarise scene capture;

    4). Horizontal timeline cannot be expanded / stretched out to enlarge vertical times.

    I’ve other security (e.g. Alfred, Ring & Yi Iot) which has far superior software.

  • Cloud access issues

    This app is great when it works. Had it for a few years now.
    In last 2 months I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app after losing access to the cloud storage.
    Once reinstalled the cloud videos are all there.
    It also happened to another family member with theirs.
    Can you rollback the update or fix this glitch?

  • Need more updates

    Need more network updates, can really only view in fluent mode not in HIGH 1080p mode even though the cameras have full wifi signal
  • App and cameras not worth it.

    These cameras only work sporadically, the app logs out constantly, nothing will connect and even if it does now my cameras just show static.
    The cloud seems to disconnect from cameras also so even if the cameras are working nothing is being recorded to the cloud because I have to add each individual camera back nearly daily. Absolutely not worth the expense.

  • Has potential to be a great app. 21/1/23

    The set up was very easy and I had high hopes for what should be an easy and intuitive app. However different settings seem to be hidden everywhere, coupled with painfully slow loading times of both the menus and loading the live view makes it such a frustrating process.

    Once set up and the camera detects activity, you get a notification.. open the app as soon as it comes up and you have about 45-60 second wait while it loads, which is enough time to miss what’s happened. You then load into the cloud tab to see the recording…another wait….

    I understand that pulling a recording from the cloud takes time but the live view really should be quicker.

    In addition the main menu screen that shows all camera at once doesn’t update on app startup.

    Conclusion; it is a free service linked with an entry level security camera, yes it would be nice to be faster and more user friendly, but it is still very usable.

    If there is an update in the future, I shall update my review accordingly.
