  • Very handy when out and about

As the above says, handy when out and about.
  • Very good app.

As a serving officer, PocketSergeant has been brilliant however the UI was lacking. I discovered Duty Pro from Twitter, and after downloading the Duty Pro app I’ve been nothing impressed. Well worth the time.
  • Simply simple.

This is an amazing app for any new probationer officer like myself. It is incredibly easy to use, with each section broken down. I fully recommend this app to anyone within the police service and indeed anyone wanting to learn about British law.
  • Necessity for arrest and stalking and harassment

As a special constable I would say Necessity for arrest are needed for each topic and offence and also there needs to be a section on stalking and harassment, this app would be more than five stars then.
  • Best police app

I’ve used the other two police apps and they came nowhere near this. By far the best police app available
  • Ok

This app is ok for some functions. There are a lot of offences not listed and the search function is so limited you often can’t find the legislation you’re looking for.
The pricing is good and aesthetically the app looks good but otherwise it is extremely limited in functionality.

Hi Ljcoolj! Thank you for your feedback. I will say, it is a fair point about the search function. It's one of the most challenging parts of the app; trying to build something that works well for both specific and non-specific search terms. Historically I have seen some really long and generic search terms like "what is the offence when someone has thrown a brick at a horse" (genuine search term!), which I suppose people can be forgiven for when we have the luxury of search engines like Google, but the search functionality on this app is nowhere near that powerful and was only ever designed to search specific words such as "PWITS" or "robbery". So what I'm saying in a round about way is... the search function is currently being completely overhauled in a new version. It should support fuzzy searching better so it can cater for terms I have seen used in the past, e.g. "parking your car on the pavement". It won't be anywhere near Google standard but it will be a lot more intelligent than it currently is. Sorry that's a bit of a long-winded response but thought I'd let you know that I hear you and it is in the pipeline to be remedied. When the new version is released later in the year, be sure to give it a whirl and let me know your thoughts, let's at least get that raised to a 3 star review! :P As ever, you can email hello@dutypro.co.uk if you need any more help or have any more questions in the meantime. Take care, Simon
  • Best of the bunch

This app is very well designed, fresh modern look and is a lot better then the other policing apps on the market. Also doesn’t have any pop ups which is a bonus. Must have on the beat.
  • God sent!

This app is by far the best for anyone who needs to look up a legislation quickly. It’s very well formatted and easy to navigate through.
It’s useful for civilians just like myself to look up offences rather than searching through google and trying to make sense of certain offences.
I love the structure and style which is easy to remember when coming back to look for something.
Great app. Thanks developer for putting this together.

  • Not bad

Having been a user of pocket sergeant for ages I was looking for a change since they wanted subscriptions on top of paying for the app. This is a good rival app and the user interface is nice and manageable. I do feel that an a-z glossary of offences is visually appealing to me and for some reason made it easier for me to digest. The one thing I do miss and I cannot stress it enough is POINTS TO PROVE. Sounds silly but having bullet points tell me what the deal is the pinnacle of helpful and this app doesn’t have it. I’ve had to buy pocket sergeant again which means I’m down for this app and theirs. Can points to prove be added? 5 stars if that makes an appearance as opposed to a small sentence chucked in half way through the page of offence

Hi Finmoo and thanks for your review! I'm working on points to prove as we speak as I change the way the system works to deliver them. If you'd like to email hello@dutypro.co.uk with your contact details then I'd be happy to drop you a line when they're getting closer to release! All the best, Simon
  • Superb

What an app. Got everything you need and is beautifully laid out! Use it most days, even just to jog the memory on simple offences. I used other police apps previously which just weren’t up to this standard. Top work!!
