Needs Apple Pay consistently!

The app is good in itself, whilst a bit clunky in some areas. The main frustration is payments!! Sometimes Apple Pay is there (very infrequently) and most times it’s not!! Why it isn’t consistent - who knows?!
If Apple Pay is not present the app has recently started asking for additional details when you enter card details, such as email… which you then have to type in. Surely this could be pre populated from the account? If Apple Pay can’t be consistent, surely a lodged card would be a good solution!? The necessity to repeatedly enter card details makes the UX very poor.
The type of parents that use this app are busy, needing to book breakfast clubs etc. Whilst the app is set up for some basic functions it could do a lot better to assist.
A bit disappointed - particularly so after having got out of bed to grab a card to book breakfast club, only to find Apple Pay has miraculously appeared this time! Imagine my shock! This must be the 3rd time it has been available this year 🤷🏼‍♀️

New payment options needed

I have to use the app for all school payments - dinners, clubs, school fund etc. Means I have to make payments at least once a week.
Can you please add in the functionality to pay with Apple Pay/Google pay, or at least have the ability to automatically add in details from a saved card? You've recently added a new step where we need to enter our email address and phone number which makes it even more cumbersome to make a payment.
Didn't want to write this as a review, but there's no contact links I can find.

Terrible interface and frustrating payments

A terrible piece of software that thousands of parents are forced to use. Hopefully the localsecondary school will use something better, so we will be rid of this garbage in a few more years.

The interface is frustrating and confusing. Making payments is incredibly frustrating because it won’t save payment details, meaning you have to get out your card to make each and every payment. This has recently become even more annoying, because they now expect you to enter your email address and phone number every time you mane a payment aswell. For some reason it doesn’t remember these either, so you have to type them in manually. Despite claiming on the webpage and even within the app that you can use ApplePay, there is no option to do so. Dreadful!

Not impressed

The app has not seemed to have changed in the last 4 years despite the technological advances. It’s not really the best method of communication. The issue I have with the app most is the payment page. You still need a physical card to be able to make payments. Whatever happened to other options such as Apple Pay, Google pay, PayPal or other methods. Not many people carry a physical card anymore. Once you’re in the payment page, you have no other way to return to the main app unless you close the app down … overall a very clunky old fashion app which is not quite fit for purpose 🤔

Apple Pay - please improve this element so we don’t have to keep entering card details every week

I’ve fed this back before and was told to ensure I had the most recent updates (I always do!)

For whatever reason the Apple Pay only works for me if I follow these steps:

1) Select meals for the week and add to basket
2) Checkout
No Apple Pay option appears just card even though I know it’s an option
3) Force quite the app
4) Re-open the app
5) View basket - then get the error message that the items have been removed
6) Follow the process again to add the meals
7) Checkout
Finally Apple Pay appears!

Randomly this only seems to happen on meal bookings - if I was to pay for a school trip the Apple Pay option appears every time, first time

Please please make it easier to just pay for the weekly meals without having to follow the above steps. I have the latest software update on my iPhone and also the app!

Although as a parent I have been forced to use this app by the school who do not take cash anymore, I see that it should have been a good idea saving my child from taking money into school, unfortunately the app crashes or refuses to load. This results in late payments (if I can get back on at a latter date) and much frustration. Especially when paying for lunches which have a deadline by which it must be paid. Very disappointing, I’m not inclined to trust this app as I’ve made payments then had the app crash, no email confirmation (only the bank showing payment made) then when I’ve checked the app it doesn’t show the payment made.

It needs a lot of improvement.

I will say only that, I wouldn’t use it if I wasn’t forced to do so by my child’s school. This app has a lot of glitches. But the most annoying thing to me is that I can use Apple Pay only once, first time after restarting the app. After that it asks me about my debit/credit card details. I have to refresh/completely close the app and try again, but meanwhile, all items from my shopping basket disappear. So I have to put everything into basket again and have hope it will let me to pay by Apple Pay that time. So annoying!

Needs to be better…

Considering how important communication is between the school and parents this app needs to be much better. I hardly ever get notifications of new messages from the school, maybe 1 in 25, despite all the notification settings being turned on. Also, payment cards can’t be saved, Apple Pay is not supported and when making payments there is no indication that the payment is being processed so you don’t know if tapping on the pay button registered or not.

Very glitchy , terrible payment system

Full of bugs, when you are trying to use the club booking system. If you make a mistake you can’t change it without contacting the school.
Payment system doesn’t make sense , you book your club days which goes through (can’t be changed once booked) and it says you owe nothing. You then have to go to transactions to find the charge to pay ????
DO NOT top up in advance. If you book it will automatically deduct it from your top up total and the only way to then get it back even if you cancel the club day is if you contact the school to get a refund.

Dreadful

It’s fine when it works properly. The problem is when the school sends a message with a letter or a link, sometimes it’s fine and it opens it up in safari, but other times it seems to open it up inside the app itself. This means you can only see it in a tiny portion of your screen (not ideal if you have bad eyesight and are using a phone) and it is impossible to close the item and go back to your messages screen. The only way I’ve found to fix it is to delete the app and re-install it, which means going through the verification process again. It’s just a total pain....
