App not recognising post code

Ignore my last comment, I am in Aberdeen, the App only recognised Aberdeenshire post codes :-)

Thank you for clarification, yes the app is provided by Aberdeenshire Council for Aberdeenshire residents.

Broken again

Very disappointing that this is broken again. No notification for bin collections tomorrow. App says it needs my address (again!) in the Settings. Open the page and my address is there.

Says that No Collections to Show. Check address. Round and round in circles.

Very poor update, as was 3.0.35. This App is going backwards.

Please fix it.

Apologies for the issues that were encountered on 15th April, we had a problem where we couldn’t pull the data from the third-party system that holds our waste collection information for a few hours. We are liaising with them to determine what the problem was so that they can mitigate it happening again.

Not working

Won’t let you set it up. Doesn’t recognise postcode.

Please check that you are using an Aberdeenshire postcode as this app is for Aberdeenshire only and not Aberdeen. Could you please get in touch with us at mobilapps@aberdeenshire.gov.uk with details of the postcodes you have tried so that we can test. We are not experiencing this issue with any of our test devices so it would be useful to replicate your issue to identify the cause and fix it.

Okay ish

Your support section isn’t working, when you touch it on your phone, it won’t scroll down to view all your support pages.

Thank you for your feedback. The Support function allows users to send support queries regarding various issues - the list is alphabetical (except 'Mobile App' at the top of the list) and runs from 'Business' to 'Waste'. There whitespace below 'Waste' though. Could you please contact us at MobileApps@aberdeenshire.gov.uk so we can investigate your issue?

Latest version works

After updating to latest version with the latest bug fixes, the app is working properly. Thanks all!

Not loading

App doesn’t even load on my iPhone. It looks like it’s loading then just reverts to my home screen.

Thank you for your review. Our investigations highlighted a bug in our app that meant it would not launch on older devices that cannot run iOS 13 and above. We fixed the issue and released an emergency update on 17th August 2022. Please download the latest version of the app, currently 2.12.1. Please contact us at mobileapps@aberdeenshire.gov.uk if you are still encountering problems and we will do what we can to assist.

Help?

As an employee of Aberdeenshire Council being a school teacher I thought this app would be a benefit to have during the storms. Wrong. Can’t even use it as claims my postcode isn’t in the shire. This was my last hope to keep up to date with school closures - when the power goes here we don’t have access to internet/phone signal/4G for days. This would make my morning easier when on the hunt for some signal and some normality.

Useless then working now

After multiple reinstall I got it to work…don’t open from App Store!
