I used this app for the first time for a work Secret Santa and it worked great! In the past there was always someone in charge of keeping names and it spoiled the fun. Not with app…unless you are really nosy. I really liked the ability to make sure certain people didn’t get someone they know well.
It would be really great if there was a way to add a Santa Questionnaire so each person could list their likes, allergies, and so on.
I just set our family group up and it was so easy. Just email name, email and then you can even block if you don’t want spouses to get each other. Everyone received their email and no messing with the app. Exciting and so fun to make it special with family across the miles.
Simple app that does exactly what you need. If I could change anything it would be an option to send the matches via text instead of email. It lets you block certain matches from happening and is user friendly.
It’s nice to see a simple app that does a job correctly without a bunch of monetization nonsense. This app is free, but I would happily pay a couple of bucks for it.
One missing feature that would be nice is to assign more than one person to each Santa. Our group does two gifts each instead of one.
This is my second year of using the app. Only one issue, for people who do not have email, the app doesn’t send you who your person is via text message. For 3 people on my list, I had to use my email, which made me to see who their person is. Other than that, it’s a great app.

We have never done Secret Santa in our family before so it was a new experience for us. So far it has worked out very well.
Hoping there will be a wish list feature added next year, but for now we just use the Note app on our iPhones. We have a shared folder that has a note page for each family member who is participating so they can add to their own wish list or someone can make a suggestion for a person on the list.

It’s super easy to use, and you change things around a bit if you mess up. Definitely recommend if you can’t get your family together to pick names out of a hat.
I have been using this app for my group friends secret Santa. After the holiday, I usually delete the app to not take up space on my phone. This year, when I went to redownload the app, I tried login in with my email, but I couldn’t find where I had the password saved. I click on the section that said to recover password. I type my email, and get a statement that states and email will be sent to recover password. I go check on my email inbox no email. I even check the spam folder, no email. I waited a day with no email to recover my password. I repeat the process to type email and get sent another email to recover my password. Yet, again no email. Now, I don’t have my password, there is a email recovery glitch. Which means I can’t use this app for secret Santa. I guess I’ll have to find another app.
This app took 10 minutes to do! It took no time to download the app, I didn’t have to wait for it to open. It lets you make a group name, minimum & max costs, and let’s you type instructions. I made a name for everyone, and typed there email. When I clicked send secret Santa’s, it sent everyone a private email on who they got. However, the ONLY thing that I didn’t like was that you can’t type numbers, only the emails. Overall, this app is so easy to set up and works great!
