My almost three year old is learning so much from this app. I found it after she became obsessed with the hungry caterpillar book. Thank you so much for creating such a great learning tool. Expensive and doesn’t work
Downloaded this and then realized the cost after trial....Cannot figure out how to cancel it… Also, I am fully connected to Wi-Fi and every time I try to check out the app it tells me I’m not connected to Wi-Fi and won’t let me do anything to download the games and activities… Frustrating for an app that cost so much!Show lessjkOT1983
Still being charged a year after free subscription
Emailing this company doesn’t work the only thing that would get this stupid app off my computer is paying them for a year of it I haven’t used. This is the worst experience I have ever had with an app and will be reluctant to download any apps that have a free subscription in the future. I hate this app.Show lessangry caterpiller
Free Trial w/Pending Subscription
My children really love the Eric Carle books so I was excited to see a free trial for this app and immediately downloaded it. However, to participate in the “free trail”, you have to select a subscription. I found that very deceiving. There are other apps (i.e. Dr. Suess Treasury) that allow a free trial then block the content until you subscribe. I really prefer that method over this since you don’t feel trapped or tricked. You are allowed to view the content and see if your children will enjoy it without hoping 🤞 that you are able to cancel your membership if you aren’t impressed with the app. I have subscribed to several apps after the free trial...this is one I will not.Show lessThereviewthatIwrote

Hello. Sorry you're not happy with the free trial method. To be clear, there is plenty of free content to try without subscribing to the free trial. he free trial simply allows you to access absolutely everything. As with all iOS subscription apps you are free to cancel your subscription immediately after beginning the free trial. You will still have access to the free trial for the full week, but don't have to worry about forgetting to unsubscribe before the trial is over. Hope that helps! I haven’t really been able to use it yet since I was having trouble with the sound. Customer support was super helpful and helped me figure it out so I will give it a try now!DebbieI7
Please fix letters & numbers
As a retired educator I really like the app for my grandson. However, kids do not learn to write the number 1 with a “ roof” nor the 4 as on a keyboard. Same goes with the t... do you consult with educators? Would be helpful if fixed!sandbox4
Great app but no sound?
Downloaded and my daughter really likes it so far, but it’s bugging me that there’s no sound for some reason. I’ll be cancelling if that’s the case, not worth $6 a month if I’m not even getting the full effect of the appRedSoxchick13

Fabulous app for my three year old, she loves being able to work the puzzles, trace the letters and read the books and engage in all the great activities offered. I feel good letting her play this app a little bit every day. Worth every penny!cezzna

Update 1/3/19: I appreciate the apology. Have revised from 1 to 5 stars. It’s a great app provided Mickey Mouse stays far away.
Original 12/25 review: This has been the only app I’ve ever let my 2.5 year old use. I’ve paid more for this app than any other. After using the free trial, we subsequently paid for the subscription and it has helped my kid learn letters and numbers. I’ve appreciated the relative simplicity and the lack of flashiness when compared with similar educational apps. Until this morning.
This morning, Mickey Mouse Disney ads started popping up every minute. It’s ruining the experience and is infuriating. We’ll be cancelling if this isn’t eliminated. Please fix this and apologize for what was essentially a bait-and-switch move. Even if the frequency of the ads was an unintentional bug, its still unacceptable to try to sneakily show advertisements to my child.Show lessDaanyul

Hello, Please accept our apologies. It has come to our attention that a pop-up advert appeared in Hungry Caterpillar Play School over the Christmas period. This should not have happened and occurred as a result of a technical error. We are very sorry for this happening. It was completely unacceptable. Unfortunately over the Holiday period our team did not spot the error and it remained until January 2nd 2019. We have now removed this message entirely from the app. As an extra measure to our unconditional commitment to our users we have implemented precautions which will prevent such errors in the future. We have loved this app for almost a year. We pay a lot for it, and have been very happy. But this recent change to stick a pop-up ad every time you change activities is awful.
We pay to get the content, not forced marketing to our toddler. Please remove this or you will lose us as a customer.ASHPHD
