Great for pre paid
The app is excellent if you’re a pre paid member, but if you have to pay for your swimming sessions it doesn’t remember your card details which makes it quite frustrating going through the same details numerous times. Terrible app & customer service
Tried to use it to book a badminton court, it took my money to book the LAST available court (hang on to that bit we’ll come back to it), but it errored at the end.
As the money went out I assumed it was booked but I tried to confirm it. Only, it is not possible. KAL have chosen to make it impossible to ring them because customers don’t matter. Their phone line doesn’t put you through to anyone, just tells you to use their website or app.
Turned up for my match anyway and the booking hadn’t gone through. The staff were helpful though and found space for me to play. Despite the app saying there were no courts available, when I turned up they actually had 6 of the 7 courts free!Show lessAgrippa2018
Worst app in the world....ever!!!
Before I start I’d just like to say that the staff at the centres, especially Holmfirth, are excellent, friendly and helpful, but unfortunately sometimes their hands are tied by access restrictions too.
The central hub for KAL is shocking though, it has taken over a week for them to respond, and still no answer. And don’t even think about phoning them!
On to the App! Awful, just unuser friendly, trying to link your account is a nightmare, no simple instructions, navigation is not the greatest either!Show less74Monkey
When it works it’s great!
Book all my classes via the app. Usually works fine except for every Sunday night when the classes for Monday are released and it takes up to half an hour to book on! Like that I can look at all time tables in one place. Agree with earlier comment of having a class description/link to an appropriate website, added somewhere so you can decide if a class is for you.Show lessG.Gumdrop
Not fit for purpose
Despite being told that there is nothing wrong with this app it is unable to cope at peak times and you will find yourself staring at a circle going round and round and round .... unfortunately you have to use it to book on or try to unless you use their website. Good luck !!!!DP1706
Disappointed
Logging in asks for a user ID and PIN I haven’t been provided with (and doesn’t accept the number from my KAL card)
Was really hoping for apple wallet integration with the KAL card as in this day and age it’s not unusual to take just a phone with you rather than a wallet.
Lack of apple pay similarly would be an easy win.
There doesn’t seem to be anything here that you can’t do on the website, other than the opportunity for KAL to spam you with push notifications. Half of the app redirects to the website anyway, which is not remotely mobile responsive.

On each class, it should tell you a little bit about it because I have no idea what half of these classes are and I don’t want to book them and turn up and it be something I wasn’t expectingSheridanLouise
Needs Apple Pay, or faster checkout
I use this app to make court bookings. It never retains payment details which means typing out card details every time... It badly needs Apple Pay and / or the option to use member details, rather than needing this entering each time to make a simple booking.DrummerBoyJoe
Could be great. But has a major flaw!
Could be a useful app. We just use the swimming pools at Kal. The apps good for quickly looking at the pool timetables but I'd really like to use it as a more convenient way to keep progressing on the kids swimming lessons. On this the app has a major flaw.
When I use safari to view the kids swimming then safari remembers you ID and password, one click and I'm in.
In the app there is no such function, worse still is that if I leave the portal I have to log back in again, retyping it all.
Please please fix this bug. Let me remain signed in through the app. I'd use it then.Show lessBazza-c
