  • Please add emotion identification

Thank you for making such a great app to work on Audio Processing Disorder! I am really enjoying all of the variations of practice and immediate feedback to train my brain to communicate better in everyday conversations. The one thing that I would love to see added is a section on identifying emotion in speech. My TBI caused me to no longer be able to read facial expression and also to no longer identify emotions in speech. I can’t tell if someone is joyful, angry, sarcastic, joking, or scared etc. If there was a section to practice and train this deficit, I’m sure others would benefit from this practice as well. I have noticed these deficits sometimes in other people with acquired brain injuries as well as with some people with autism. Thank you again so much for making a great product!!

  • Wowww😁😁

If you are getting a cochlear implants I totally recommend it. Instead of training you ear it is fun and not boring. The app is fun instead of tedious.
  • No pressure aural rehab

I just downloaded this today a few days after I received my processor for my new cochlear implant and this was just the encouragement that I needed. It is helping me see that though I have so much work left to do, that I am already starting to hear SOME distinction that I wasn’t convinced I was hearing. It is still just a bunch of beeps that I am hearing but somehow I am still scoring a little better than I would with random selection. I needed this boost of confidence

  • Great Rehabbing

I downloaded several apps to help my rehabilitation after getting implanted. Hearoes is my favorite. A different app had uncommon sounds, and the words sounded wrong. I couldn't play them more than twice to hear the difference. This app lets me repeat the sounds as many times as needed after I get something wrong so I can better train my brain to recognize it. The sounds are common, and I can do scenarios that mimic real-world listening. The games also help make it fun!

  • Unilateral Cochlear training

I am SO THANKFUL FOR THIS APP!
  • Great

This is great for my auditory rehab.
  • Daily training is great

Really like the daily training addition & the new sentence activity.
Tried using your feedback option in the app but it is a nightmare if you write too much the app just shuts down (it would be easier if there was an email to send feedback to or at least a decent text box to type into).

So here’s what’s wrong with your new sentence stopper activity: in the female voice Australian accent she stops on the word “furthermore” but the game marks it as incorrect & that it should be “light”.
I played it 3 times & the other words where different but she always stopped on “furthermore” & it always comes up wrong so you might like to check it.
Thanks for all your hard work to make this app.

  • Won’t load

Story stoppers won’t load! I loved this program before the update.
  • Doesn’t work anymore

Can’t get it to go past “loading” since last update

    Developer Response

Hi DM_SLP2, Thank you so much for your feedback and sorry to hear about this issue with the loading. There was some changes, which had affected a small amount of users who had created an account at a certain time, however, we have released a new update which aimed to address this. If you're still having issues, please let me know on elliot@hearoes.com.au and I'll look into it further for you. Kind regards, Elliot
