Longtime User, Must-Have App
I’ve been using HomePass for years, and with 100+ smart home devices it has been a key element to keeping it all running. I can trust all my pairing codes are safe, and the new design is great!
Indispensable
If you have Matter and/or HomeKit devices and don’t want to make yourself crazy if, when, something goes wrong, HomePass is excellent for cataloging your device codes. Include handy notes so that you remember how you set up a device before, etc. HomePass is an excellent app and just one of many good apps by this developer.

Great app
Very handy having my Homekit codes backed up in case I need to remove and re-add a device. The new version looks good, too!
Now Subscription
Purchased the original app! latest update had bad code (told by dev) update was supposed to fix! unfortunately it lost all my 98 device codes and unable to restore them. I am very disappointed yet another developer has gone down the greed subscription model and broke what was an app that while I never used or needed! failed me on an botched update that now cannot even use. deleted and will not purchase anything from this developer. I have his other apps!

Hi, have you reached out to me via the in-app support? You have not lost any codes as the app never deletes the old data. It simply copies it to the new database. A migration can be run multiple times as needed. Saved for later devices will be able to managed in an upcoming update.

One of those apps you should get and set up… and ignore until you need it. When you do need it you’ll definitely be thanking past you!

Beware All Devices Don’t Transfer to New iPhones
After transferring to a new iPhone 16 Pro Max I lost all my devices recorded in HomePass. After spending hours imputing all my HomeKit devices, it’s not worth the hassle of re-imputing the date.

Hi, You simply needed to reinstall the app for iCloud to re-sync. This is a bug that is fixed in the next major update.
Does what it says on the tin
And does it wonderfully. It’s a fantastic little utility to store HomeKit codes, and it’s a life saver when you need it. Saves a lot of time and frustration!
Missing basic functionality
Unable to delete old homes, or move accessories out of old homes into new. Very inflexible.

Hi, HomePass keeps data seperate from HomeKit. You can move accessories out of old homes by editing each device to move them to the new one. Old homes are automatically deleted when no devices are saved in them.
