The best rowing app
Now we are at the point of using the different instructors and their programs to bring variety in our rowing to avoid boredom. I can only highly recommend Asensei rowing.

Hi Llanellijack, thanks for the positive review, we appreciate it and are glad you enjoy the app. In terms of pricing, annual purchases work out a lot more affordable in the longer term - you might look out for monthly to annual discount offers too... With regards to the Bluetooth issue, the asensei rowing app doesn't generally control your speaker at all, it's iOS handling the transmission. Do you see issues with a wired speaker or when using the phone? For more help best to contact support@asensei.com and we'll do our best to help.

Hi, sorry for any confusion. asensei recommends a workout for you automatically, to get started just click the Let's workout button. to start the session. You'll be prompted during the workout turn on your compatible Bluetooth rower and asensei will connect automatically and proceed. Then you follow the coaches instructions for the workout. Sorry you had some problems, but thanks for the feedback. To start the Up Next workout you should tap the green Let's work out button in the chat and then follow the instructions to connect to your rowing machine when prompted during the workout. The workout won't proceed unless you connect though. If you'd like to share more details you can contact us via support@asensei.com and we should be able to get you up and running in no time.
Great app but room for improvement
Room for improvement would be allowing you to select what program you wanted to complete in the next workout function. I really only like johans workouts so it bugs me that I can’t keep track of which one is next. I find Eric’s workouts to be a bit more tailored to advanced users or men as his guidance to start the damper at 5-6 is never going to be appropriate for women.
It would also be good to have functionality to see side by side previous workouts of the same session to easily track improvements.

Thanks for the review, we appreciate it. It may not be exactly what you are looking for but you can change programs via the main menu -> PROGRAMS then swipe left on the program you want to activate. This would allow you to pick programs from your preferred coach(es). As an aside if you find the suggested damper settings too hard, we'd recommend you adjust it to something that works for you (we have some sessions around choosing the right setting available too - reach out via our Facebook members page or to support if you'd like to know more).
