Thank you for providing a review. Diana informed us of your request to extend the validity of guest codes beyond 30 days. We have already analyzed this request and have determined that it is not as simple as it appears. Imagine that everybody simply created a guest code to allow access for just 1 day of the week for every week in the next 6 months. That is 25 dates we have to store in the video intercom, per resident, per guest code. For a typical community with 200-300 residents, if everyone created a few different guest codes, the number of dates we'd need to store could easily reach hundreds of thousands, which the intercom would have to search through with each QR code scan. This will create performance problems. In order to satisfy your requirement of extending the guest code validity range without breaking the system, we will have to implement a repeating schedule rule, for example: every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, for the next 6 months. This means that we will have to make modifications to the video intercom software, the management website, and both phone apps. Our development roadmap already includes this new feature, and we anticipate its completion in about 2 to 3 months.

There’s a latency issue and the app does not perform well with new generation iphones like iPhone 12 Pro. The interface does not fit within the container, the phone’s touch bar overlaps with the app’s menu which makes it really hard to press buttons like “create code” or “see history”. There’s also an issue with how the app behaves when fetching iphone’s privacy to allow access to push notifications. The app requires background refresh, yet even as you grant the app access it still behaves as if you didn’t, and you get a constant ribbon banner on the app’s home page asking you to grant access. It’s very bizarre and I’ve missed calls because of this. When we reached out to developers, they blamed it on “user error” instead of addressing the issue. It’s been a headache for me and the property management team at my building. Please get this fixed as I have no other choice but to use your system since it was an arbitrary decision for the board to use your comms service and I’m obliged to it in order to access my own house.
