How SelfishBabe changed my life
I’ve been following the SelfishBabe Insta page for years now. I followed when I was going through an extremely rough patch in life. Anxiety and depression was weighing on me very heavy. SelfishBabe gave me continuous affirmation DAILY that everything was not going to be ok, but that it was OK! Once I found out there was an app I was so happy, because of my job I’m not always able to check my social Media. But to wake up in the morning and the first thing I see is positivity and hope, whewwww. The app is FILLED with so many great things. It doesn’t matter what you’re into or what you’re looking for I can guarantee you find it. Spiritual, Emotional, sensual, healing, videos, books, challenges I mean I could go on! The Massive Transformation
I have always been the healer and nurturer of others, yet the most important person was getting neglected, myself. I jumped through hoops, sacrificed my own stability, and avoided pouring into myself thinking that’s what brought my peace. As time went on, I went into a mild depression and even thought that my existence on this earth was not purposeful. I lost the light. I lost the joy. I lost the drive. I became stagnant just going through the motions, yet I recall how this app realigns you with self and why loving you is so important. The versatility and the drive to simply thrive in loving yourself unapologetically is the constant reminder that I need. A Black Woman’s Safety Net!
I’ve dealt with adjustment disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and depression for my entire life. This year I vowed to put in the effort I needed to get my mental health where it needs to be. I was doing great, but as usual life happens, and in the past month I’ve found myself having an influx of panic attacks and disconnecting from my surroundings more often to cope with how Im feeling. I was scrolling through the App Store one day, which is something I never do, and I found SelfishBabe! I read the description and was immediately drawn to download it. This path month, I’ve received THE BEST daily affirmations that give me that mood/confidence boost that I need to get through every day without feeling my world is crumbling!
