Horrible app
This app says the AI picks the best move it sees, but it seems to throw random cards more often. When an AI player picks when you have all queens and all trump, then doesn’t manage even one trick, it’s pretty pathetic. Don’t bother downloading this app. It’s a complete waste of time. College days relived
I had not played the game since 1965! Except for the beer and the smoky living room at our dorm house, the game is exactly the same! But it is so much faster! And just like mike college days, I tend to forget who my partner(s) is (are).
Terrible partner
5 handed is almost unplayable. 4 handed there is always one person taking tricks from a teammate, or smearing the wrong team. Also it seems to me that there is always one player that makes terrible game decisions, like leading trump with the picker on the end in 4 handed, only to find out the guy leading trump may have had 3 with a low queen, middle jack and a 9. There used to be an app that let you decide what “level” you wanted to play at. I’ve got to see if I can find that. We taught two 14 year olds to play both 4 and 5 handed this weekend and after two hours both play the game better than the computer partners in this app

So happy this game has a solid easy to use app. Suggestions after playing for a while:
1) The players are too aggressive and sometime pick the blind with awful hands, which makes it no fun.
2) They also lead trump to the picker pretty often when they are not the partner... I make wrong plays all the time too but this seems like an obvious one.
3) Would love to see some stats!

Some improvements possible
I think some small improvements would help game play. Especially if the non-pickers would stop leading trump when it is the first or second round as that is not normal and helps the picker.

Great AI
I have played a lot of Sheepshead and spent a lot of time playing this app. A few comments 1) The AI is really good. I am always losing ground to it. Having a perfect memory helps. It is not nearly as good on 3 handed where I rarely pick, but almost always win. 2) The AI is super aggressive. I rarely have leasters. However, this makes sense because the picker wins 65% of the time. However, this makes this app bit boring as you never get to pick and sometimes if your ace gets called you lose for no good reason.

Needs major improvements
I have been playing this game since I was 7 years old. I understand the tricks of the trade. This app is poorly designed as the player playing behind me is always designed or “programmed” to have one card higher when attempting to take tricks home. The record of keeping track of this is astounding from my attempts at taking tricks home from a fail suit. Such as “Ace walker or trumped trick. This game is also designed to set(lose)the app user as picker and partner. If I were to have close to what is a “barn burner” hand and go alone it is again designed for the app user to lose. For as much as I have been playing this app, I should have had what you call all queens and highest jacks hand, but have not. More designing sequences needed.

Great game
Well designed and follows the rules well. Sometimes some of the computer players make very bad plays but in real life some of my buddies also make terrible moves.
