Don't bother with this game. I stopped halfway through from boredom. I've played some interesting HO games by Big Fish -- this isn't one of them. The game features the most boring hidden object puzzles -- ever. This is their specialty, so there's no excuse for this. They most definitely know how to make great HO puzzles so it's beyond irritating when quality is inconsistent from game to game. It was $7 and not worth it. I'm being very critical but when a company is this big, they have the resources and the talent to produce consistent quality. What else ... the story line is contradictory to itself; if a game is marketed as scary, it should be scary. This one might start out with potential but it fades (literally, the color fades, music too) into blah ASAP.
  • Revenants

    Challenging puzzles
  • Missing Bonus Game

I’ve completed the game which I generally liked. However at the end there is no option to play the bonus game which is frustrating as I paid full price for this game. Further tech support has been no help with this.
  • Bummed

I have played all the MCF games since they were only on PC, and I’ve really enjoyed them all. I played this one and of course purchased it because I figured there was a lot of game left to go. But not long after I purchased it, the game was already over! What a massive disappointment. Not only was the story hard to follow and boring AF, but the game mechanics were off- I couldn’t place objects because it kept pulling up the screen, the hints button was difficult to use, and many of the “clues” were completely irrelevant. Worst of all the games in the series. 1/10, would not recommend. It makes me very sad because I have never even made a bad review about any game on iOS or otherwise, but this was so bad, it called for it.
  • Awesome

Love this game. Eipix rarely disappoints. Wish the graphics were more crisp and bright tho.
  • Too glitchy and not intuitive

Skips must be clicked at least three times; HOP objects aren't hot-spotted precisely. Sorry it wasn't a better game as I liked the series.
  • Great job Eipix!

I am so happy that Eipix is back on form! I used to look forward to their releases, then their games became so trite and unfulfilling. Now they’re back, baby! I love the super puzzles, and there were several in this game. I do wish they would make them a bit harder, like in Fate’s Carnival, but I’m still happy with them. Instead of morphing objects to find in hops, you collect fragments of a love letter. The story was exciting and well done. Puzzles were unique and ranged from easy to medium. Hops were varied. Real rating of 4.5 bumped up to 5 because I just really enjoyed it.
  • Fun mini-games

Amended to 4 stars..... I finally did find the bonus game, and after playing that, they did allow you to go back and find all the collectibles and replay the games.

This game was not as enjoyable as most of the Mystery Case Files. I lost interest in the story. But 4 stars for great mini-games that were challenging and FUN, and flawless gameplay.
  • Ok, until the bonus...

This game was really good mechanically. Custom settings, decent map, ok voice-overs and pretty good graphics (hence, the 2 stars). My only problem with the game itself was how dark it was. I probably should not have bought it after the free trial, but I was intrigued. Normally I only by fantasy, medieval, and sci-fi games. I tend to stay away from horror themed games, but I guess this one sucked me in… So, not only was the subject matter a bit dark for me, but the scenes themselves were very dark and therefore very hard on my eyes.
But what really bothered me about this game was the Bonus chapter. *Possible Spoiler Alert!!!* Anyone who is a parent will find the ending very dark, depressing and not a little macabre. Just so you know, the bonus chapter is in no way related to the main story. They both have a Revenant, but the stories have totally different characters that are not related. I almost feel like the developers are not aware that a lot of people who play their games have children and/or grandkids. I was not amused...
This is actually my first review ever, that is how much it affected me.
I realize that everyone is different, my review is for people like me who prefer a happy ending!
    Happy gaming, y'all!!!
  • Still my favorite series

This was one of the first series I ever played. It was great then and it is great now. The interactive puzzles are a major part of that!
