Copy and paste; improved layout and readability; support for Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu articles; and better page dots. Here’s the full list of changes: • Adds support for iOS 15. • Adds copying and pasting links and text in the articles list, either using the contextual menu or command-C and command-V on a hardware keyboard. • Adds support for displaying articles in right-to-left languages such as Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu. Pages on the reading screen will now scroll in the expected direction. The direction will be inferred automatically. I would be pleased to hear any feedback about this feature. • Adds showing a compact bar instead of page dots at the bottom of the reading screen when reading a longer article. • Adds the ability to scrub through pages using a long press on the page dots at the bottom of the reading screen. • Adds enhanced trackpad support to the page dots at the bottom of the reading screen. Click to go straight to any page. • Adds more line height when using large text sizes to improve readability. • Adds much wider margins so the text is more comfortable to read when using multiple columns. • Changes Open in Safari to Open Original since a different default web browser might be set, or the link could open some other app. • Changes the Send Feedback option to use your preferred default email app. • Changes the Share keyboard input from ⌘S to ⌘I to be more like Safari. • Improves positioning of images and their captions. • Improves evenness of lines of text on the reading screen. • Improves display of titles in articles when using accessibility text sizes. • Improves behaviour when saving Safari error or info pages. • Fixes articles not updating while you’re on the reading screen, such as when image downloads finish. • Fixes lines sometimes ending in different places in PDF screenshots. • Fixes possible incorrect text direction in the article list with text that mixes right-to-left and left-to-right characters (e.g. Arabic and English). • Fixes some possible errors when saving articles. • Fixes the author and site name being duplicated when they are same, such as for personal blogs. • Fixes the reading screen not matching the rounded corners of the device on some iPhones. This version requires iOS 14 or later.

Trackpad support, showing author and publication name, PDF screenshots, many accessibility improvements, and various layout refinements. • Adds hover appearance for trackpad and mouse input on the dismiss button and buttons at the ends of articles. • Adds showing the author name and publication name if available. • Adds support for taking PDF screenshots. • Improves VoiceOver accessibility: • Adds accessibility labels for images in articles if provided by the original webpage. • Adds scrolling to keep focused element visible, which makes sure new pages of text are loaded. • Adds support for accessibility scrolling. • Adds support for the escape gesture. • Adds a confirmation announcement when saving from the share sheet. • Improves layout with various text sizes, including large accessibility text sizes. This is especially the case with the buttons at the ends of articles, which will change layout to so text is not clipped. To make use of text not being clipped the title of the ‘Open’ button changed to ‘Open in Safari’ for clarity. • Text will now be higher contrast in Dark Mode when the high contrast accessibility setting is enabled. • Text will no longer be covered if the keyboard is shown by another app in Split View or Slide Over. • Improves the appearance of the top-level screen by adding icons, adding a right pointing arrow. • Improves layout of contextual menus and the share sheet so they are easier to scan. • The back button on the reading screen now points upwards instead of downwards for better consistency. • Improves error reporting when trying to save unsupported content like audio. • Improves display of the source website when saving fails after a redirect occurs. • Fixes keyboard focus sometimes being lost such that pressing keys wouldn’t do anything. • Fixes the success indictor when saving an article being offset or not visible when using Split View or Slide Over. • Fixes the buttons at the ends of articles sometimes being a tiny bit blurry. • Fixes the reading screen jumping after being flicked up. • Fixes it being possible to drag articles into Recently Deleted, which was confusing since they didn’t show up in that list. • Fixes a situations where the app could go entirely black when using multiple fingers to interact with the article sliding panel in a certain way.
