I LOVE

As someone who genuinely has zero friends but a girlfriend, this is great. music is my life and always has been and i love connecting with people over the music that has caught my attention. i am making friends and it’s super fun!! i hope to make more and get to know then better as i show off my music taste and expand it. this app is great to be ostentatious about the kinds of music you like and show off how many song you know that not a lot of other people know, has people asking questions and it’s fun to share your love for music with others.

Incredible App

Been using the app for a while now and it’s an amazing way to connect with people through music taste. Since a big part of my personality is music and more leaning towards the heavy side I’ve always had to consider on apps like these that I won’t match with people on that aspect but with this app I’ve met so many cool people through music taste. 10/10

Tips for Turn up

Turn up is different and it has so much potential but it’s very weak. The matches are limited, there’s dead accounts and bots and it lacks further engagements. And that really makes it hard to enjoy. As a tip to turn up you guys should include interactive questions to profile overviews that people would like to know about the person that can be answered from typing or using voice to establish the fact their a real human. Don’t allow individuals who add nothing to their profiles to create a account unless they fill out their profile 100%. Add mini games Guess what type of person I am or guess what artists it look I like. Or even a game that tests you based on someone’s music profile. With more than just 4 questions like blind test but instead 15 to keep it engaging. We need more to balance the limited matches.

I love the idea

This is my favourite way to meet people in real life so I really like the idea behind this app. It has all the niche bands that I listen to and awesome to find people that also love them. Only issues are, it’s a little under subscribed.. constantly matching with people all over the country- cool to make friends but not really practical irl. Also the help section is really basic. And no search or faq. I just wanted to find out how to unmatch someone and all you have is the basics, which mostly are pretty intuitive. Maybe a developer can advise?

In general it’s such a great idea. They need to spend on advertising to get more people to sign up though.

Positive review overall - I met my last partner on there!

Hello, Thanks for your feedback. We're working on the app every day to improve it. If you want to unmatch someone, just go on the chat with this person and click on the three dots in the top right corner of your screen. Have a nice day!

Innovative Concept, But Pricing Hinders the Experience.

As a music enthusiast, I was intrigued by the unique concept of this dating app. Connecting with others based on shared music tastes sounded like a refreshing change from the usual swiping experience. However, my enthusiasm waned when I encountered the paywall. Hiding matches behind a paywall dampens the excitement. It’s like receiving a beautifully wrapped gift, only to find out you need to pay to open it. My Experience: As someone who appreciates music-based connections, I was thrilled when others matched with my musical tastes. But my excitement turned to disappointment when I realized I couldn’t explore those connections without paying. It felt like a missed opportunity. In the end, while the app’s concept shines, the hefty price tag dims its appeal. If the developers find a balance between creativity and affordability, they’ll strike a harmonious chord with users.

Needs more time in the oven

I live in the most populated city in my country (Toronto, Canada), and it did not take long to go through potential matches. 1 chat! If you have dating app fatigue, this will not cure it. I gave it 8 weeks and I’m out. Before the app developer responds trying to tell me about filters…. yeah it’s not the filters.

Great but Glitchy

Love the concept and premise of this app! My only issue is that once you message a match or message anyone in general, your tabs for “matches”, “received” messages, and “sent” messages, go to the top of your phone and you can’t toggle between them. The only way to see them and toggle is when you get new likes on your profile and the top says you have a date. Then the tabs go lower on your screen and you can toggle. But once you view who liked you, the tabs again become inaccessible. Also, there’s no way to know if you have messages in the received folder unless you check it randomly when you can toggle.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. The issue should be solved in the next update.

Great idea, bad execution, worse updates

When I saw this app I thought to myself it was the only dating app I might try as it’s related so heavily to music.
However with everything locked behind a paywall it’s practically pointless trying to use as an actual social media app.

The ability to connect with each other is super limited and as it’s been pointed out in previous reviews, it’s best to link a sm that people can reach out to.

Amongst this, I decided to check out the reviews to see what else people were saying about this app and to my surprise, while the developers have been replying and saying they’re taking the feedback into consideration, the site is pretty much in the same state people were describing it to be in a year ago.

Notifications don’t work, you can’t see who’s liked you without paying (no other dating site I know does this!) and you’re actually limited to the amount of people you can even react to, as I went to simply swipe that I liked someone and was asked to pay for that as well.

Considering dating sites are supposed to be a means to an end, how can it be justified paying so much for something I shouldn’t be using in 3 months time if it actually works as a dating site.

Actually worth it

Met a whole bunch of people and some genuine connections, my only issue is the block feature will make sure that blocked profile shows up a million times after you block them.

Hello, Can you send us an email to contact@turn-up.app so that we can identify the problem and solve it together? Thanks in advance!

Unprofessional and nasty.

This app regularly uses photos from people’s accounts without consent to promote this business. It has happened twice now and I haven’t used the app in well over a year and I deleted my accounts months ago!! The first time I contacted them telling them to remove my photos I received an incredibly unprofessional response however they agreed to take the photos down, this turned out to be a lie as I have since been approached by strangers asking if I am the girl in the adverts. I have again contacted them asking for the adverts to be removed however I have little faith.
