Can’t draw an actual house floor plan with D2
I downloaded this to attempt to move away from pen and paper and written dimensions. I found it to be terrible for trying to draw anything other than a single room.
You try to draw adjoining rooms and tap to enter the measurement from the laser and it uses the last point on the line as the datum instead of the first (i.e. the wall next to it) Then you can only move the line in one axis perpendicular to your measurement and that’s only then when you draw the line in space because you can’t move lines that have been referenced to another line on the plan. The help videos only show a single room being drawn. Absolutely horrible for full floor plans and I’ll be using pen and paper for the foreseeable future. I’m using the Leica D2 so I can’t try smart room or P2P measure.Show less2_Dardy

Blueprint / floor plan option NEEDED
The app and device would be a lot better if it allowed a person to create floor plans/ blueprints after spending hours creating basic plans. The should be an option the allows a person to drop various items into the plan. It would also be nice if it allowed you to add photos on the side for reference.I ultimately want to consolidate apps, not add more.Show lessSimp Review
DISTO D2
I have only had this new Bluetooth enabled DISTO 2 for 2 days. I’m a contractor that prepares detailed drawings for my renovation projects, at the pricing stage. I have many laser measuring devices including some less expensive brands, Bosch and Husky and my original DISTO that is about 25 years old now.
This is the first Bluetooth Enabled one I’ve had and it performs very well right out of the box and the accuracy is second to none. If there is one thing that Leica could improve on it would be providing detailed webinars and step by step videos of the various functions including adding windows, doors, stairs, fireplaces, wall openings etc. or perhaps provide links to instructional videos or competent compatible apps.Show lessBell since 1985

I am an architect who has bought the disto x4 and 360 with tripod. The outlay cost was expensive but the facade measuring function on the app alone means the whole outlay is worth every penny.
I read some 1star reviews before I purchased but was already committed as I had the equipment so had low expectations... the whole reason I am writing this review is because I’m so blown away with the app and the integration between it and my iPhone and my Disto and the 360 that I couldn’t not write a 5 star review.
It has genuinely 🤯 how good it is and I’m not sure what the 1star reviews were going on about?... it is intuitive, (super simple) you can export in a number of formats and you can stand in one spot and survey a whole elevation in minutes... genuinely not sure what else you need?

Fast kinda fun work tool.
Makes quoting a breeze. Square metres faster than you can type half the numbers into your calculator. Would be great to pair with an estimating or quoting software. Label the rooms as you go, so you don’t forget. Can’t wait to find out more tricks with this thing!@mrwildworld
