Good complement of features, design okay.

To put things into perspective, I have a pair of B&O Play A1s, whilst the app for that leaves a lot to be desired, it is pretty.

This app is the opposite, it’s ugly and the interface feels odd. But aesthetics aside, it is much more functional than the beoplay counterpart, adjusting gain, EQ and other settings through the app was good. I haven’t tried to pair two mini rigs just yet, but with just one mini rig 3 and a mini rig sub 3 I’m pleasantly surprised at how well it works.

It works perfect for me now

No more crashes, loops. It works great on iOS 13 and now has preset EQs.

Possibly the worst app ever designed

Nothing works. Full of bugs. Terrible UI. I know you guys are a music company and not a software company, but come on guys, you can do better than this.

Doesn't work with newer devices

Originally thought it was an iOS 13 issue, but my iPhone SE was recently updated and still works with the device. The app fails to detect any devices on my 11 Pro.

App does not work wit iOS13

App does not work with iOS13. It cannot find my minirig. Contacted support and they have been blaming Apple for the problem, however the minirig updater app seems to work fine. Finds my minirig every time.

The speaker is amazing and I would like to buy another to connect with the one I have but if the app doesn’t work. :0(

No longer connects as of iOS 13

Shart

The only word that I can use to describe the experience is “shart”. I have a 2.1 set up and it takes forever to pair the speakers, the app is extremely inconsistent. I feel like MINIRIG should be paying me for the effort I have to put in every time I attempt to use the sound system. This said, all the pain is gone once I eventually get to listen to music and use the EQ. MINIRIG need to invest in development of their Bluetooth and app desperately. Surprisingly enough there seem to be zero reviews or information that can be found when searching for info like this on google -fishy.....

Fix This Please

For the cost of the speaker, I expect a connection app to work. This app totally fails on the Apple platform. Maybe Android is better, but please, FIX THIS APP.

I couldnt design a more frustrating app/hardware combination.

Speakers do sound great, however the bluetooth and app are appalling. I have a 2.1 set up (v2). One of the speakers will not hold its name when i change it in the app and its ALWAYS a gamble as to if either or both will be seen by my iPhone 8. If by some miracle they do connect, its unlikely that they will pair. I am sick of spending literally 5+ minutes every time I want to use them. Even If my phone sees them both, the app wont let me lock stereo pairing (it remains greyed) Stay away from these speakers.

bad app, great speakers

Don’t bother thinking the app will make things easier—it doesn’t. App screen got stuck in a loop of showing a list of connected speakers but would not take me past that. You are better off just using the physical button on the speakers, your bluetooth device, and the instruction manual PDF to get the speakers to do what you want them to do.
