Great booking engine

I've been a fan of the website for many years. We get a lot of our business from people that use the website to book boats.

Terrible customer service

When you call your phone support, you need to make an appointment to talk to somebody. They say they would call you in an hour or so but this never happen.
When you send email, they will get back to you in couple days.
I’ve had couple emails from different customer service reps asking me what my issues are so they can route my issues to the correct department so I can get a phone call but that never happened. It is very hard to communicate with them. They have zero to none customer service. You are on your own.

Working out great!

I’ve captained my boat with about 10 charters now through boatsetter and they’ve all been awesome! The guests have been respectful, on time, and a pleasure to have aboard. Looking forward to many more outings.

High Service Charge Lack of Flexibility

I recently had an unfortunate experience with Boatsetter, leading to an unjust deactivation of my listing. Despite my consistent efforts to maintain timely and effective communication with potential renters, I was cited for several incidents of alleged unresponsiveness last year. I believe this to be a misunderstanding, as I have always prioritized clear and prompt communication.

After this experience and considering my needs for flexibility in communication and more reasonable service charges, I decided to move my listings to another leading boat renting app. This platform offers a better fit for my requirements, allowing for easier interaction with potential customers and at a cheaper rate.

It’s disappointing to have to leave a review like this, as my initial interactions with Boatsetter were positive. However, I felt it necessary to share my experience to provide feedback on the areas where the platform could improve, particularly in terms of flexibility and understanding towards its users.

Issues with app

Last summer the app was average, the season is kicking off for me now and I’m having nothing but issues.

Currently, I cannot message people, the messages just disappear, so I am writing a review out of frustration.

Every renter I have had at the start of this season has complained about the app, “404 error message” no way to contact me or look things up.

Typically I can get ahold of support, but how many less persistent bookings am I missing because people are having issues?

Also, someone please add the ability to have more than one boat manager, I have multiple boats and multiple employees.

Thank you for this review. Here are a few troubleshooting steps to try. First, uninstalling and then reinstalling the app. If that doesn’t work, try signing into your Owner account via a web browser. There haven’t been reports of other issues with the messaging functionality, but if this issue persists email us via contact@boatsetter.com and a team member will get back to you as soon as possible.

Solid app for managing rentals

Gets all the big things done. Couple minor possible improvements:

Messages should be sorted by last message date rather than when the conversation was initiated.

Super minor: on iOS more padding should be added to the bottom tab bar so the tab titles don’t get cut off.

Horrible service

Open an account and made my profile. Was pending for a week. Finally received an email saying I needed more pictures. I put more in and they activated my account. I changed my address and immediately went to pending. Called 100 times and received an email to schedule phone call and after the phone call account will be activated. First available phone is in two weeks. Idk how you run a business like that. It’s middle of the season.
