Map route to Garmin Vivoactive 3

This is a useful and easy to set up tool to add a route to your Garmin watch. It takes a couple of goes to get used to all the options but this app helps you stay on course without the need to get your map out.

Yes: even though we've added a lot of new features in this V2 to help you find and use existing routes, the mobile-friendly website is still the place to create new routes, for now.

Sorry no on the new activity type: we are so very short of memory in the dwMap watch app running on the Garmin watch, and have to save what remains for more significant features. So please change the activity type in Garmin Connect after uploading if need be. Memory scarcity guides a lot of the tough decisions I need to make about all the wonderful feature requests I get from users.

Update Needed

Kudos to Dynamic Watch for even having an iPhone app; however, it’s in dire need of an update (2021). I’m not asking for new features. I get that this is a bare bones app that allows you to switch between routes, but it is laggy and looks awful on the latest iPhones. It is barely functional. Updating the UI and maybe a few squished bugs would do wonders for this app.

Luke, I have now been able to resume working on this phone app and have fixed the key bugs (users can now login using Strava or Facebook again) and will be making further updates. Note this phone app is entirely optional and has very limited features: The mobile friendly website is how most people use dwMap, including switching between routes in nearly all cases.

Useless

Once you log in, there is only a blank page und the opportunity to sort your existing routes! But you can’t create anything! Looks like this app has been abandoned a long time ago!

Needs to be updated - Does not work

Loads with a blank screen. Courses never sync and then app crashes. Don’t bother on anything beyond iOS 12.

Can’t log in

Can’t log in with Garmin details.
Non functional. What gives?
Ok would help if you put all the instructions to sign up somewhere on the splash screen. Can’t even remember how I found them. Not a happy start. Let’s see if it actually works.

Every way of signing in just says error. It is impossible to sign in. Very disappointed and do not recommend

(We might not spot a tech support question within a review here for few days, but we respond very promptly to emails.) . Strava login is not currently available in the phone app, but works great on the website.
