Don’t pass on game pass

It’s the best value in subscription game library offerings. Don’t. I know there’s issues w not working here and there. A few of the dozens of xbl titles are basically straight pores as such not great for win 10. However the sheer volume and cadence of new titles for sub 6$ monthly? It’s a 1$ not bs for first month on new signup. I’m sorry but you’d have to be all of the stupid to pass on trying Xbox game pass for low cost. In app install to linked pc and xbox consoles. Better still is the cross save/buy between them. The app is kinda pointless other than social and some browsing. But hey get on this sub already. You’re missing out.

Cloud streaming

It’s amazing being able to download games remotely so you can come back to have the game downloaded and it’s also a good way of just seeing what titles there are. I know that apple isn’t allowing it but I would love cloud streaming on iOS

Could be a 5star apart from apple restrictions

The app in itself is well presented, gives plenty of information regarding the games available, but it loses out in regards to the whole point of the app, the idea behind mobile gaming via game pass is defeated on the iPad or iPhone, thanks to apple and Microsoft having petty internal disputes! Without waffling on the basis of this app is to carry on playing games when away from Xbox. This is not available on apple products! So only download as a viewing tool, not for playing games as it does not work!

Doesn’t recognise pre/installed games

Bug: The app says I need to ‘install’ games that I already have installed on the Xbox. Then, pressing the Install button in app doesn’t work either with an error message flagged raised in the App.

When I do press install in the app, on my Xbox console a queue item appears for a few seconds but disappears and then the app raises the error.

Not sure what other options there are? Seems broken at this stage to me. Great concept, keen to see it work once developers resolve the bugs.

Its impossible to cancel

Have a feature is great when you can control it. I’ve sat three hours and I couldn’t navigate the Xbox website to cancel my subscription. Not that I didn’t like the app . I just felt like spending my money on other things. After three hours my only result was knowing that if the payment was missed the subscription would be canceled. The payment was a week about and because I couldn’t manually cancel it I withdrew my money of my card. A WEEK LATER and I wake up to find the subscription fee on my transactions. I want it canceled and it’s more like a financial virus. 1 stars because I’m pretty tech savvy and I’m having way to much trouble just trying to cancel a payment. Very unsatisfied!

Cannot Download or find my perks for ultimate game pass

So this issue about downloading games off your mobile device has been going for a while now and my experience about it is the same I tried downloading rocket league and it just queued and I was hoping it would’ve downloaded by tomorrow morning but it said the same thing.

Now my perks I literally cannot find them anywhere on my iPhone I’ve looking everywhere I even looked up online and it said it should be on the menu page but it isn’t I only accessed it once and I never could even see them again. So If any devs see this please hook me up and I’ll screen record about the issue

Thank you

Big fan

I know it’s been slow and games are pretty varied so no real complaints there, and I’m loving the concept of ultimate along with project xCloud coming to the public as well as revamping how subscriptions work is gonna be super interesting to see the future...

As far as the app goes it’s pretty solid, I wish the pc app was as good. I liked was just getting used to the Xbox companion. Anyways - this app is pretty straight forward there’s not too much to it. It does what it needs to do, no more no less... look forward to seeing where it goes.

Reasonable

Pretty good app for the purpose it’s intended to do. Haven’t had it crash on me. But it does sometimes lag a bit with opening game pages and layers pages on top of one another. Then you have to go back for each page.

I think having a feature to remove a game from you’re installation list after you’ve completed and/or uninstalled it would be really useful. Or being able to put them in a separate category like “ Ready to download” or “Completed” like with digitally owned uninstalled games would be good. I’ve only had Gamepass for a while and installing games off my phone is handy (not really a easy to find button) but the list has gotten long.

I was surprised by the lack of having reviews in the app from the store. Considering this is easily seen in the regular Xbox app. As well as what friends you have that own the game and if it has DLCs and other related games you might like. Seems like a bit of a missed opportunity there to incentivise further use “hint hint, nudge nudge”

The game pages even play videos but do tend to buffer, as usual. Just that the play/pause button is tiny in the corner and doesn’t show video true status.

But these are otherwise minor things

App-Xbox Communication

I love game pass, but this review is just about this app. It functions well, and I like that you can see newly added games as well as games you don’t have for much longer, but I would like to see HOW much longer. If there’s a game that’s Leaving Soon, I may have not seen it before and like to try it, then if I like it I may buy it. The problem is I don’t know if I have a week or just 2 days to download and try out the game. However, the bigger issue with the app is that it does not communicate with my Xbox One very well. The Remote Install feature only ever works for me if the Xbox is already turned on AND I’m on the same LAN. If I’m anywhere else, I have to go home and manually start the installation. I’d very much like to see this fixed, because the install times for Xbox are terrible and every minute counts

More than worth the money.

I have Gamepass ultimate. The difference between that and Live Gold for price isn’t much at all considering how much game pass actually brings. The sheer amount of games and game types alone make it worth it.

If i was gonna have 1 complaint, and it’s more of a beggar being a chooser thing, it’s that I wish the once the game is removed if I was already playing it, that I still have access to it (like Gold in a sense) even for a bit longer if it was maybe something I was close to finishing. This is in no way a deal breaker and that’s why I still rate it 5 stars.
