Better than the main Xbox app

Still slow and clunky but less broken and weird than the older app.

Download issue

Am unable to remote download any game through game pass. All settings are correct however the game gets stuck in queue. There are many reports online of people experiencing the same issue.

Frustrating when trying to download a large game (yes there is enough room) to play that night only to discover it never started downloading.

It has been this way for a few months now and no troubleshooting advice has helped

I was iffy about GamePass but now...

IM ALL IN! Let me start off by saying that I usually like to pay for my games, that’s just how I am. I loved the idea of GamePass but thought it just wasn’t for me as I buy titles that aren’t really offered in the GP (yet). I’m currently using the 14day pass that came with my elite controller but Microsoft can have my money thereafter lol. The way the quests & rewards are setup not only incentivizes the experience but has me playing games I wouldn’t normally play which I think is great.

Currently I’m using the app on a 5s while I’m waiting for my XS to be repaired and I can say the GamePass app is a delight to use. It’s easy and straightforward if you’re familiar with the xbox ui. It seems to be optimized for each of the respective devices which is a little thing but it shows Microsoft cares. They have themselves a nice little gaming ecosystem and I’m thrilled to be apart of it.

Amazing

Definitely the best bang for your buck, instantly releases any Microsoft exclusive. 9.5/10

Exceptional but severely flawed

In my experiences with about the past year of owning game pass on my Xbox, I have concluded that it really just isn’t worth it. The idea is there, and it’s a great one too, but the quality games just aren’t there. I don’t think that these cheap indie games are worth the money that I pay monthly as I just don’t work enough hours to have all that cash just lying around with school and everything. There just aren’t enough hot titles on here to make me feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. Sure there are some good games, but those only last a little while. Ngl I feel like I’m getting kinda screwed on the deal. But I gave two stars instead of one because I think the idea is there and I do really like State of Decay 2.

Very good interface!

The app is extremely good to use and is very easy to find your way around the app! I think it is a very good idea that you can download and install games onto your Xbox 1 on the go. However you have to have your console in the instant on power setting for this to work, which is no issue but, I choose to keep my Xbox on energy saving mode because I don’t want my xbox on in the background. the only issue with this app is that sometimes it can lag out and not let you on the app but I have only come across this issue a few times personally. All in all its a fantastic and well thought out Application!

Great Service

Great service! And quite a good app. I’m quite bummed at the significant point reduction for game pass quests this month. Hope that this is a trial run. Really think the monetary value of $4 a month to play games and constantly be immersed in ecosystem was worth it. But now it’s basically about a $1 in rewards points and it doesn’t seem worth it to try out the new games if the quest is even somewhat challenging. Prior I actually felt incentivized to play different games and I found some gems that I ended up playing to completion. Please increase the point values to where they were the previous month.

Xbox game pass

lets you try new games you may not consider buying . Like when you use to try the games at the shop on disk before you purchased them .

Handy dandy

Pretty convenient little app, makes for easy remote downloads and tracking of the promotional ‘quests’ that reward the individual with redeemable points for simply enjoy games as well as completely specific and often easy challenges to help branch an individual past there comfort zone and perhaps finding a new game to enjoy 👌🏻

Seems like a nice app, but..

I’m trying to remotely install games from the app onto my PC. Problem is, I have 3 PCs connected to my Microsoft account, and only one of them is listed as an option for remote install. Of course the one option is a business desktop that I don’t use for gaming.. I called customer support and they transferred me around three times before telling me they had exhausted their resources. So, now the app is basically useless. I can save all the games I want to play later on the app, but it does me no good, because it’s not in sync with my gaming laptop. Pretty disappointing.
