Great product and app!
I spent hours researching and reading reviews to find the right monitor for us. SO glad I landed on this one! What an amazing product! From the moment it came I was impressed. First, it arrived quickly and beautifully packaged. It even came with a screwdriver, ruler, level, and more for an easy install. I am a first-time mom and had no idea what to expect and it blew me away. The app made the set-up super easy through clear and easy to follow prompts. I actually had a small problem with it finding my WiFi, but customer service was amazing. I asked what the issue could be and within minutes I had my answer. I just needed to shut down the Miku and start over. It worked like a charm. The picture quality is amazing and the alerts and information it gives you is incredible. I don’t need to have the app up on my phone and running my battery the whole time, the alerts let me know if there is a change – which is really nice. Another nice feature is the sound machine! I can change the type of sound, the volume, and turn it on or off from my phone. It also doesn’t drown out any baby noise. Lastly, I love that my husband can peek in from work at naptime and if one of us is out of town, it is nice to see babe from afar. From the design to the functionality, I am more pleased than I could have ever expected. I definitely recommend the Miku to anyone looking for a monitor and peace of mind.

Worth every penny!
We absolutely LOVE this monitor. It was so easy to get set up and installed and works perfectly. The packaging was so beautifully organized and clear, there was no guessing game when it came to the setup which was really nice.
The live breathing gives us complete peace of mind as new parents, we are so amazed by the accuracy. It's so worth the peace of mind that you get from all of the alerts and information, it keeps track of everything we need without the baby having to wear anything which was what we were looking for in a monitor. We also really love the two-way audio and the music feature is so great! We love that you can use this anywhere too, we love being able to watch the video from work or when we are out and about. One of the other perks, the company's customer service is extremely quick and always so helpful. We will definitely be recommending this monitor to all of our friends!

Absolutely amazing!
I bought this monitor for the breathing monitor function had some concerns at first because I thought that the alarm wasn’t working properly. But it turns out that the camera is so clever that it knows the difference between no baby in the crib vs a baby not breathing in the crib. Crystal clear picture and the option to download photos and videos. The support people are so helpful and will get back so quickly to answer questions. A high price tag but peace of mind is well worth it.

A must!
This baby monitor is a must for all parents! I’m a registered nurse so when we were pregnant with our daughter I knew I had to find a device to monitor her breathing to make me sleep better at night. At first we had bought the owlet baby monitor and it worked great; however, after a few months it left a pretty big mark on my daughters foot. We even had the right size sock so we had to stop using it. Well my sleep went downhill and I found myself constantly checking in on her to make sure she was breathing. I knew I had to find a new device ASAP and that’s when I found Miku! Such a great design, very sleek looking and it had all the features I was looking for! So happy with this purchase. It had a great picture quality and my favorite feature is the real-time breathing tracker. Having a new baby already sleep deprived you enough so if you’re looking to have a more relaxed sleep this is definitely the monitor for you!

Constant issues
Wish I could report more positively about this camera and app because I had high hopes, especially with the price tag. But the camera CONSTANTLY disconnects, even with the best WiFi and a TPlink to boot. The app closes. The camera takes forever to load on phone (I have a brand new iPhone and updated the app). Cannot believe for the price of this camera that it quite literally causes me so much stress to simply monitor my infant while she sleeps.
**UPDATE: MIKU responded to my review and said I should contact support. We HAVE contacted support for over a year now. The issues are constant. Support has been nice, but the fact is: the camera just doesn’t work. It does not work “as advertised,” as it continually has connection issues despite our strong WIFI. So no matter how many times we have contacted support and spent so much time with them on the phone, nothing seems to improve the connection issues. I asked for a refund but MIKU refused because it’s past warranty. However, if a product doesn’t work as advertised, you can file a breach of warranty claim, which we plan to do. I completely regret spending so much money on this. Would never recommend.

The monitor I wish I had from the beginning.
With our first born, I barely slept for months; I suffered from constant anxiety and a paralyzing fear that my son would pass away suddenly if I wasn't monitoring him closely and watching him breathe with my own eyes. I found that the only way that I could sleep after a time was with the weight of my hand on his chest, a firm confirmation that he was breathing.
Now, as my husband and I prepare for the arrival of our second child, the number one item we had on our wish list was a Miku Smart Baby Monitor. I have consulted my close friends with children, poured over mommy blogs & closely researched the highest tech for baby monitoring available - All signs point to Miku. I finally broke down and purchased it last week.
In the short time we have trialed the Miku, it has met and surpassed all of our expectations. The camera quality and night vision is excellent and far exceeds that of the camera systems we have purchased in the past - That alone makes it worth every penny, in my opinion. That combined with finally having a subscription free service without hidden fees is a dream realized. On top of those benefits, we tested the real time breathing monitoring on my son and husband (ha!) with no issues.
I won't say that this will resolve all of my anxiety as a parent with a newborn, but I can say that it has put me at ease immensely. I feel confident in knowing we purchased the very best tech available for baby #2."

Overall good monitor, but the app needs some work
The monitor itself seems good. No wifi issues for us (we have a mesh setup so more than the average home). The video is clear, sound is clear, vital tracking we haven’t really used yet so I’m not sure how accurate it may be.
The app needs some help. There is no iPad support, so it only works some of the time. Also the app does not function well in the background from what miku has said is due to iOS battery saving functionality. They also said it’s because the video is always being sent even if it’s not being viewed. This to me seems like a flaw, just split the video/audio streams maybe? Otherwise, they need to come up with a solution for the app running in the background because this means the rest of my phone is useless if I have to leave the app in the foreground to make sure iOS doesn’t close the app.

Worry free at last
This monitor is everything you've been looking for! First, the entire experience is quite lovely starting with the beautiful packaging. The setup process is hassle free and the instruction manual makes it even simpler. Once the app was loaded and connected to the monitor, we began to see alerts right away. My husband and I had fun checking on all bells and whistles by trying to trigger all of the features (all of which operated as advertised). We are very pleased. We had heard that the system is finicky regarding connection, but have had no problems (whatsoever) to date. We have all the peace of mind knowing that no matter where we are, we can check on our precious baby and make sure she is thriving. From the incomparable day and night video quality, to live breathing and the fact it's wearable free, to the tracking sleep data, two-way talk, lullaby/nature sounds, temperature/humidity sensors, and data security we were enamored. The app’s interface is user-friendly and will help any parent (worrier or not) have all this information she/he could possibly want!

Nice device but app falls short
The idea behind this device is great and it works well as a camera but issues with the software really let it down. A few issues of note:
- the camera can recognize when a baby is in the crib and sleeping but can’t tell the difference between no movement/breathing from a baby or whether a baby has been picked up. This results in the alarm going off every time a baby is picked up in the night to settle and soothe (and this happens a lot for newborns) which is a major nuisance. Result is switching off the alarm feature, so really negating the point of getting a device that can sense breathing in the first place.
- the analytics is very limited and buggy. Users are not able to define the hours of “night” and “day” based on their own routine, track what is happening in real time during the night graphically, or look at sleep patterns in any granular way.
- the range of sounds is limited and the white noise options aren’t loud enough for all babies. An option to play any audio file from the phone through the speaker would be a massive improvement.

Good as is, potential for better
First off, the monitor is a good monitor. Nice features, easy to setup, and options to customize. That being said, by far the weakest aspect of the monitor is the wifi receiver within it. I’m an engineer and have done network speed tests of our home network throughout the house and no other device has any connection issues like the miku can. So buyer be warned, you need to have a very strong and fast network for this to work properly.
Needs work. The vital monitoring is not accurate. Many times My daughter would be out of the view of the camera and the monitor would still show her sleeping and breathing. Needs to be fixed.
Now for the potential. The monitor does send text notifications to an Apple Watch however, the latency is on the order or >5 min. My daughter would cry and I would go in to help her then 5+ min later, my watch would notify me a sound was detected. Additionally, you can view the video feed on your watch so it essentially makes the watch notifications useless. If Miku developers can either fix the notification latency issues or enable live viewing of the video feed on the watch it would set it apart from other monitors.
