Everspruce Home Inventory User Reviews

Top reviews

Love the app so far.

We go on long trips on our boat and fill it full of a multitude of different supplies, tools, parts, etc. I can never find what I’m looking for when I need it. I’ve been trying this new app for about a week, and it really has helped me organize and find things when I need them. I am going to continue to use it a while longer and seehow robust it is. So far it seems like a great product, especially since I can take pictures as part of the inventory process.

Dave thank you so much for sharing how Everspruce helps you organize your boat trips! We really appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback and help other users understand what Everspruce is all about. Cheers!

A truly fantastic, intuitive, time efficient and effective way to manage your possessions.

My wife and I think the Everspruce App is fantastic. It does what it promises. It gives ample ways to sort and categorise meaningfully, and then with clever descriptions and keywords/tags (eg kitchen, laundry, memorabilia, current documents) provides you with the ability to search effectively for what would otherwise be buried, small or obscure possessions. The App gives you a strong sense of control over all your gear, even when it may be inaccessible or at a distance, and gives you confidence that if you do want to retrieve an obscure item from storage, that you can do so quickly and efficiently. Another benefit is that since you have a wonderful photographic and text based catalogue of your possessions, you can save so much time in simply numbering your boxes rather than bothering to write descriptions on multiple sides of each carton. It also means it’s less crucial to put like-things together as a memory aid, because when you do need that specific vase, platter or critical document, you can determine exactly which area and specific box it is contained in, and can access it directly and immediately! The last benefit I’ll comment on is that my wife and I were able to pack down a house of 15 years simultaneously, while working on different rooms. We could take quick reference photos of items and drop those items straight into boxes, without having to stop and provide written descriptions at all during the pack. Instead, we had the convenience of later coming back to label the items simply from the photos. We didn’t waste any time with labelling during the time critical pack down. It was really time efficient. We’re most grateful. David and Deb from Australia.

Dave we can't thank you enough for your detailed overview of how Everspruce helped you with your move. Coincidentally, we used Everspruce to move halfway around the world and we had similar thoughts. We think one of the most powerful benefits of Everspruce is exactly what you identified: "It's less crucial to put like-things together" because the app let's you instantly find specific items as needed. It also allows you to simply number boxes as you suggest as well. We're so happy you enjoyed the experience. Cheers!

Great for insurance inventory

At the advice of an insurance agent, I decided to compile an inventory of my belongings in case of a loss. I intended to use Encircle, but that app proved frustrating, since there's no way to upload a batch of info, and their website is geared toward commercial customers. I searched some more online and found a recommendation for Everspruce.

This turned out to be exactly what I need. While there's no way for me to directly upload a batch, the Everspruce blog provided a template and instructions, making it easy for me to organize my info. I then emailed it to them, and they were able to upload all my data within a week. Much faster than if it I'd tried entering everything one item at a time. Now all I have to do is attach pics of everything.

Why would I go to all this trouble? Well despite my somewhat frugal lifestyle, I've accumulated some good furniture, some nice work clothes, etc over the years. I have a replacement value renters policy, and it turns out that i didn't have enough coverage. If I have a total loss (like a fire guts this place), I would not have had enough money from insurance to replace everything. Since using Everspruce, I now know the true replacement value of my stuff, and I've increased my policy to cover everything. I pray I never need to cash in like that, but if, God forbid, it comes to that, Everspruce had all my info saved, and I'm fully covered by insurance.

This app is wonderful!

JellyNJen - thank you so much for (A) your kind words and (B) your exquisite detail on how Everspruce specifically helped you. We really appreciate you taking some of your valuable time to share your story. Cheers!

Almost

This is exactly what I’m looking for but like other reviewers have stated, my family needs to be able to access it, and this is something that should have a lifetime purchase option. This is not an app that provides content - should be a one time purchase. I would 100% be a paying customer if these were fixed.

Rozinak - thank you for your detailed review. We agree not allowing access to multiple users was a problem...And that is why we fixed it in our latest update! You can add up to 4 users to your home inventory for free (although if you want more than 50 entries a single subscription would be needed to cover all 4 users). Please download the app today to check it out. And for more information - please read our blog post: https://everspruceapp.com/how-to-add-new-home-inventory-users/ To your other comment about a lifetime subscription - unfortunately, we do have ongoing costs like security, data storage, and new feature development that preclude us from offering a lifetime subscription. We use our subscription revenues to continually invest in Everspruce (We're working on an Android version, perhaps a web version, and we just released the additional users feature with more to come.). With that said, we know that a subscription isn't for everyone and that is why we offer up to 50 entries for free forever.

Love this App for my Craft room

I am an avid stamper and have over 1000 stamp & die sets. I love this app for tracking my inventory. I love the tags that allow me to quickly sort through the items in my inventory. I have also used this app to track the whereabouts of my children’s dorm room contents during summer vacation. Since some items are put in storage and others are in my home it saves a lot of time to know where to start looking for their items.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on Everspruce Damien - we can't thank you enough! More long form videos should be coming soon (along with new app features) and we do have other content on Instagram as well. Cheers!

Two dealbreakers

Functional app for exactly what I need, however there are TWO DEALBREAKERS:
1. The app collects "user content". So what are you doing with the list & photos of my stuff, and where I keep it in my house???
2. It's subscription based. I would only pay for an app like this with a flat fee.
Sorry... ya lost me.

Response from developer

Thank you for your candid feedback ddhjkeh - 1. The app collects user content by definition (users add content into Everspruce) and so we have to say that in our disclosures. Your data is encrypted on disk and in transit, we don't sell your data to any third party, and we don't even look at your specific data unless we are troubleshooting some sort of issue that a user writes in about. We do use third party services like cloud providers, etc - but again that is to actually enable Everspruce to function. 2. We know a subscription isn’t for everyone and that is why we pride ourselves on providing an exceptional experience for our users - whether they pay for a subscription or not. We use our subscription revenues to continually invest in Everspruce by ensuring secure cloud backup of all user's data and creating unique features like batch mode. Please contact us at carol@everspruceapp.com - we’d love to figure out how we can win you over.

Not bad too expensive

Would rather pay a flat outright fee than a monthly—definitely not worth the price

Response from developer

Thank you for your candid feedback Silver stuff. You can save 37% with a yearly subscription but we also know that subscriptions aren't for everyone. That is why we pride ourselves on providing an exceptional experience for our users - whether they pay for a subscription or not. We use our subscription revenues to continually invest in Everspruce by ensuring secure cloud backup of all user's data and creating unique features like batch mode, qr codes, and we're also working on multi-users functionality right now as well. Please contact us at carol@everspruceapp.com - we’d love to figure out how we can win you over.

Flea Market

We use the app to manage our inventory for our flea market business. Easy to use and has made us much more efficient. Way easier than trying to manage a spreadsheet.

This One Works Well!

I’ve tried some other “personal stuff” organizers… And the store is full of apps that are a waste of time. This one not only works well, but is pleasing to the eyes, and easy to use. Sure, to do any serious organization of the “stuff” accumulated in your life, you need to pay this developer. But in my case, to become “organized” with ability to “quickly” retrieve most everything I own was very empowering. Additionally, this will stop my wasteful spending on the re-purchase of things that I already own, but cannot easily find. (I asked the App’s developer to add ability to print multiple “duplicate” labels (vs only 1), so I can label 3 sides of a box…the developer said “No problem..that feature will be next in line after the feature currently being worked”).

BitMangler we really appreciate your detailed and thoughtful review - it is most appreciated :) As you suggest, we will get that duplicate label functionality out in the next major release. Cheers!
