Give this smaller app a chance

I’ve tried a lot of habit trackers, but there is almost always TOO much to fill in that it made me not want to use them. The process of filling everything in felt like it needed to be a habit in itself.

My ADHD brain gets too distracted; I desperately wanted simplicity. After years, I’ve developed some great habits simply by using timers and reading Atomic Habits, which this app draws some concepts from. Now, I want to visualize this in a simple, easy-understand-visual for novice data folks like my wife or friends. So I turned to this app, (shout out r/dataisbeautiful). This app does just that. With intention and time, I’m excited to see what my visual will look like. Literally 3 click options:

-Did you do it? Tap.
-Did you do some of it? Tap. Tap.
-Didn’t do it? Tap. Tap. Tap.

Obviously, there are things to fill out. But compared to others, IMO, set up is simple. Reminder options are available. There is even an option for breaking habits!

Free to use, so I’ve testing with 3 habits and I’m very happy so far. It’s only 1/2, but so far, so good.

Some improvements for this app, for me, would just be customizable user preferences. Specifically, visuals with fonts. I have unique reading needs so the ability to alter these helps a ton! This would help keep the app accessible for all. TY for your great app.

This app helped me change my life

When I came to realize that habits are one of the fundamental building blocks of achieving success on the vision I have for my life, my next thought was to find the best system for motivating me to do all my goals every day. I really struggle with consistency, but it’s precisely that lack of consistency that is the #1 limiting factor to me achieving my vision for my life. So I went looking for a habit tracking app that really nails the dopamine reward cycle and would help me be the most motivated and therefore consistent with my daily goals. In short: that app is Everyday. I encourage you to try it for free with just three goals, and once you realize like I did how valuable it is, then shell out the few bucks for the premium version. Best ROI on your money of pretty much anything in life I can think of. This app is really robust; the features for how you can set up your habits covers absolutely everything that you could want to track, and they have icons and visuals and the whole main screen is basically a visualization of how consistent you are becoming. And they’re leveraging gamification things to make it more effective. It’s truly the perfect app for this. Can’t recommend it more.

Wow, this review really justifies all the work put behind the app. I'm so happy to hear the app has helped you in your journey to become the best you can be!! Let's keep doing a little bit, every day :)

Simple app, nice features, very easy to follow through with

You can only make three Habits at a time without paying. Normally I would subtract a star, but I think the limit was beneficial since it kept me from piling expectations onto myself. The process is simple enough that I’ve never felt overwhelmed by it.
My favorite feature is that you can mark a “null” day, which doesn’t add to OR interrupt a streak. It’s nice for when one of my goals wasn’t possible that day, but I don’t want to let go of my streak. Having this in-between makes it so I never feel the need to lie (which is a quick way to lose motivation).
The visual feedback of marking a completed a habit is nice, especially with the bright colors. Your phone also makes a nice *click* vibration which I like.
You can also view statistics for how often you follow through with your goals. No ads, and an account isn’t required, which is always a plus.
Very good app overall!

Great app

This is so much better than Streaks!!!!

It’s not even close. Streaks had me thinking I was dumb for not knowing how to use it. This had lots of features, too.

Really like it!

I have been using this app going on two weeks. In the beginning, I was doing it pretty darn well. I actually referred to it for direction on what I still needed to accomplish for the day. Then I injured myself and everything kind of went downhill. I’m feeling better. I’m more mobile and I’m back using the app. What I like about it as I can put things that are important to me such as meditating and journaling. It’s funny because I stay they are important to me because they are self-care yet those are the things I have the most trouble doing. That’s why this app is great. I recently retired and it really helps me not let the day drift away into nothingness. Too often I was looking back and saying oh shoot, I didn’t do that yesterday.

I'm super happy to read the app is helping :) The beautiful thing is that we all do struggle for the same reasons... and simply being aware of what we want to do and reflect on whether we do it or not helps us constantly reassess our identities! what we do vs what we want to do, who we are vs who we want to be :P

Best app for tracking habits

Even the free version is very good

I tried many and this is the best

This is the best habit tracker I have tried for a few reasons. For one, it’s very simple and straightforward, and starting a new habit (like tracking your habits) is supposed to be simple. I like how it tallies your total number of completed habits each day as well as the number of times you have completed a habit. Most importantly, it doesn’t rely to heavily on streaks, and it allows you to skip a day if needed. Maybe I skipped a workout to give myself time to rest from a small injury, that shouldn’t destroy my progress. Also, you don’t feel like you are starting at 0 anytime you break a streak. Nobody is perfect, so it’s dumb to feel like you have completely failed because you miss one day and then you may feel like you don’t want to have to “start over” again. That is my biggest issue with streaks, I think they just set you up for failure. You can still see you streaks and longest streaks stat but that is not the point or the information staring you in the face everyday.
